Cedofeita

Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória is a civil parish in the municipality of Porto, Portugal. It was formed in 2013 by the merger of the former parishes Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau and Vitória. The population in 2011 was 40,440, in an area of 5.43 km². It covers the historic part of the city of Porto.

The Church of Cedofeita (Portuguese: Igreja de Cedofeita) is a medieval church in the civil parish of Cedofeita, municipality of Porto, in the northern Grande Porto Subregion of Portugal. The Church is a rare architectural example of a single-nave vaulted-ceiling temple, and the only one in the traditional Entre-Douro-e-Minho Province region of Portugal. It is classified as a National Monument.

The Casa-Museu Marta Ortigão Sampaio (Marta Ortigão Sampaio's House Museum) is a small museum located in the city of Porto, Portugal. Marta was born in Porto into an upper-class family in end of 19th century, her father being a prominent intellectual, Vasco Ortigão Sampaio. She never actually lived in this house; her husband died prematurely during the construction of the house. Instead, she remained in the neighboring city of Matosinhos and became a collector of art in the vibrant bourgeois environment of Porto of the 19th century. The house exhibits impressive pieces of furniture as well as jewelry, painting and other art objects, including works of the Portuguese painters Silva Porto, Aurélia de Souza, Sofia Martins de Sousa and Marques de Oliveira.

The Residence of Águas Férreas (Portuguese: Casa da Pedra/Casa das Águas Férreas) is a residence in the civil parish of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória, in the municipality of Porto, in the Portuguese district of Porto.

St James' Church is an English-speaking Anglican church in Porto (also known as Oporto), Portugal, and is within the Diocese in Europe. It is surrounded by a churchyard, and its history is closely tied with the British merchants of that city.

Rotunda da Boavista, officially known as the Praça de Mouzinho de Albuquerque, is a large roundabout in Porto, Portugal. It honours Joaquim Augusto Mouzinho de Albuquerque, a Portuguese soldier who fought in Africa during the 19th century.

The Tower of Pedro-Sem (Portuguese: Torre do Palácio dos Terenas/Torre de Pedro-Sem/Torre da Marca) is a medieval fortification situated in the civil parish of Lordelo do Ouro e Massarelos, that protected the northern Portuguese city of Porto.

Casa da Música is a station of the Porto Metro. The architect of the station is Eduardo Souto de Moura. It is located in Boavista between Carolina Michaëlis and Francos and named after Casa da Música, located nearby. The station serves Lines A, B, C, E and F. It has two side platforms. The station was open on 7 December 2002 as a part of the stretch between Senhor de Matosinhos and Trindade, currently known as Line A. Line B started operation on 13 March 2005, Line C on 30 July 2005, Line E on 27 May 2006, and Line F on 2 January 2011.Plans were announced in 2017 to build an underground Line G which would connect Casa da Música with São Bento. The construction is to be started in 2019 and is planned to take three years.

The Casa da Música is a concert hall in Porto, Portugal. It was designed by architect Rem Koolhaas and opened in 2005. Designed to mark the festive year of 2001 in which the city of Porto was designated European Capital of Culture, it was the first building in Portugal aimed from its conception to be exclusively dedicated to music, either in public performances or in the field of artistic training and creation. Casa da Música's project was set in motion in 1999 as a result of an international architecture tender won by the project presented by Rem Koolhaas - Office for Metropolitan Architecture. Ground was broken in 1999 at the old tram terminus station in Boavista roundabout (Rotunda da Boavista), and Casa da Musica was inaugurated on 15 April 2005.

Soares dos Reis National Museum (Portuguese: Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis) is a museum, currently housed in the Carrancas Palace situated in the civil parish of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória, in the northern Portuguese city of Porto. Founded in 1833, it is the first Portuguese national museum exhibiting collections of Portuguese art, including a collection by Portuguese sculptor António Soares dos Reis, from which the museum derives its name.

The Palace of the Carrancas (Portuguese: Palácio das Carrancas/Museu Nacional Soares dos Reis) is a former-residence in the civil parish of Cedofeita, Santo Ildefonso, Sé, Miragaia, São Nicolau e Vitória, in the northern Portuguese city of Porto. It houses the Soares dos Reis National Museum.
