Ponte de Lima (Portuguese pronunciation: [ˈpõtɨ ðɨ ˈlimɐ] ) is the oldest vila (chartered town, head of a municipality) in Portugal. It is part of the district of Viana do Castelo. The population in 2011 was 43,498, in an area of 320.25 km2. The town proper has about 2,800 inhabitants. It is named after the long medieval bridge (ponte) that passes over the Lima river that runs next to the town. The current Mayor is Victor Mendes, elected by the People's Party (CDS–PP). It is one of the six municipalities in Portugal administered by this party. The municipal holiday is 20 September.

The Church of Senhor do Socorro (Portuguese: Igreja do Senhor do Socorro) is an 18th-century Baroque sanctuary situated in the civil parish of Labruja, municipality of Ponte de Lima, in the Portuguese district of Viana do Castelo. The church is the centre of pilgrimages and festivals in honour of the Lord of Help/Distress, particularly on the first Saturday and Sunday of July, attracting many people from the Portuguese diaspora. It was classified as Property of Public Interest in 1977.

Casa de Sá (historically Casa Grande de Sá or alternatively Casa da Lage) is a historic manor house and agricultural estate in the Municipality of Ponte de Lima, Portugal. It is registered as a historic property of public interest by the Portuguese Government’s IGESPAR institute.In its current form, the principal building dates from the 17th and 18th centuries, and is typical of the Northern Portuguese seigneurial architecture of the period. The estate contains a chapel, consecrated in 1739 and dedicated to the Immaculate Conception, with a large baroque wood-carved retable; an integrally preserved 18th-century winery and granary, and terraced landscape gardens of 19th-century Romantic design.It was the birthplace of António de Araújo e Azevedo, 1st Count of Barca, one of the foremost Portuguese political figures of his time.
