North Montgomery High School

North Montgomery Community School Corporation (NMCSC) or North Montgomery Schools is a school district headquartered in unincorporated Montgomery County, Indiana, north of Crawfordsville. The district includes the following townships: Coal Creek, Franklin, Madison, Sugar Creek, Wayne, and a portion of Union. The district includes some sections of northern Crawfordsville, as well as Darlington, Linden, New Richmond, Waynetown, and Wingate. It also serves the unincorporated area of Garfield.

WIMC (103.9 FM, "Thunder 103.9") is a radio station broadcasting a classic rock format. Licensed to Crawfordsville, Indiana, the station serves West-Central Indiana, and is owned by Forcht Broadcasting.

WSRC (88.1 MHz) is a non-commercial FM radio station licensed to Waynetown, Indiana. It is owned by the Calvary Chapel of Crawfordsville, Inc. The station airs a radio format consisting of Christian talk and teaching and Christian music. WSRC calls itself "The Source." Some of the national religious leaders heard on the station include David Jeremiah, Chuck Swindoll and J. Vernon McGee.

WNDY (91.3 FM) is a college radio station in Crawfordsville, Indiana, owned and operated by Wabash College. The station simulcasts the Indianapolis NPR station WFYI-FM. The station is not related to the similarly called television station, WNDY-TV in Indianapolis, which is owned by Circle City Broadcasting.

Sugar Creek is a waterway located in the U.S. state of Indiana. It originates in a farm field approximately two miles south of Kempton, Indiana, and travels west-southwest for about 93 miles (150 km) before merging with the Wabash River 5 miles (8.0 km) north of Montezuma. The largest community on the waterway is Crawfordsville. Sugar Creek flows through two Indiana state parks, Shades and Turkey Run, and is a popular tourist and canoeist attraction. The creek and its many small tributaries are noted for the picturesque canyons and small waterfalls they have created in the rocky terrain. The fictional The Sugar Creek Gang series of books is based along this creek. The Darlington Covered Bridge spans Sugar Creek in Franklin Township, Montgomery County, Indiana. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. Sugar Creek is well known to locals as a Smallmouth Bass fishing wonderland. Smallmouth thrive in Sugar Creek because there are many baitfish for them to eat and little competition. Fish species include, Carp, Suckers, Smallmouth Bass and a small population of Largemouth Bass, Gar, Bluegill, Crappie, Rock Bass, Sunfish, Catfish, and Gar.

Fiskville is a formerly incorporated town in Union Township, Montgomery County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. It is located within the city limits of Crawfordsville. Fiskville was annexed by Crawfordsville in 1910. The town was founded by a former court reporter named Charles H. Fiske. The push for Crawfordsville to annex adjoining communities including Fiskville, Longview, Highland, and others, dated back until at least 1890, with the argument being that census numbers were not truly reflecting Crawfordsville's true size.

McClelland-Layne House is a historic home located at Crawfordsville, Indiana. It was built in 1869, and is a two-story, L-shaped, Italian Villa style brick dwelling. It has a low-hipped roof and segmental- and round-arched windows. The house features a three-story tower topped by a low-hipped roof. It was built for well known Crawfordsville surgeon Dr. James S. McClelland. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Bethel AME Church of Crawfordsville is a historic African Methodist Episcopal church located at Crawfordsville, Montgomery County, Indiana. It was built in 1892, and is a one-story, gable fronted frame building on a brick foundation. It features a large round-arched window and two-story, square corner tower. Portions of the building are believed to date to 1847. Also on the property is a contributing one-story, Queen Anne style cottage that served as the original parsonage. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.
