The 'Dejudaization Institute' Memorial (German: Mahnmal zum „Entjudungsinstitut“) is a memorial installation erected in Eisenach at the behest of eight Protestant regional churches. The memorial remembers the Protestant regional churches' culpability for the antisemitic Institute for the Study and Eradication of Jewish Influence on German Church Life they founded, which was active between 1939 and 1945 in the Nazi era. The memorial installation is intended to be understood as the Protestant churches' confession of guilt and as a memorial to the victims of the church's anti-Judaism and antisemitism. It was unveiled on May 6, 2019, eighty years after the founding of the "Dejudaization Institute".

Kaltennordheim

Kaltennordheim (German: [ˌkaltn̩ˈnɔʁthaɪm] ) is a town in the Schmalkalden-Meiningen district, in Thuringia, Germany. It is situated in the Rhön Mountains, 22 km southwest of Bad Salzungen, and 35 km east of Fulda. The former municipalities Aschenhausen, Kaltensundheim, Kaltenwestheim, Melpers, Oberkatz und Unterweid were merged into Kaltennordheim in January 2019. At the same time, Kaltennordheim passed from the Wartburgkreis to Schmalkalden-Meiningen.

Fladungen

Fladungen is a town in the Rhön-Grabfeld district, in Bavaria, Germany. It is situated in the Rhön Mountains, 11 km northwest of Ostheim, 20 km west of Meiningen, and 33 km east of Fulda. It is the northernmost town in Bavaria, bordering Hesse to the northwest and Thuringia to the northeast. Fladungen lies at the southern edge of the Rhön Mountains, and the Rhön Biosphere Reserve begins a few kilometers outside of town. It is at the head of the river Streu, which flows southeast through it to join the Franconian Saale near Bad Neustadt. The region around the town is popular for hiking and cycling, especially in the summer and early autumn. The town is a service center for the surrounding agricultural region. There are also some small industries, including a cement factory and a biogas plant. The 2021 population was estimated at about 2,200.
