Warana Raja Maha Vihara

Ambagaspitiya is a village in Sri Lanka. It is located within Central Province.

Koskandawala Sri Sunandarama Piriven Raja Maha Vihara (Sinhalaː කොස්කඳවල ශ්‍රී සුනන්දාරාම පිරිවෙන් රජ මහා විහාරය) is an old Buddhist temple in Koskandawala, Sri Lanka. The temple is located on Yakkala – Radawana road approximately 2.66 km (1.66 mi) away from Yakkala town. The temple has been formally recognized by the Government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka.Uruwala, Maligatenna, Warana, Miriswatta and Pilikuththuwa cave temples, situated in the vicinity of the Koskandawala temple are said to have been formed from one major temple complex in the early Anuradhapura period.

Kahatowita(sinhala:කහටෝවිට Tamil:கஹடோவிட) is one of a village in Attanagalla electorate, Gampaha District, Western Province, Sri Lanka.

Horagolla National Park is one of the latest national parks in Sri Lanka. It is so called because of an abundance of Dipterocarpus zeylanicus (hora) trees. The area was originally declared as a wildlife sanctuary on 5 September 1973 due to its rich biodiversity. Later on 24 June 2004, Horagolla was elevated to national park status. Horagolla is the only urban park in the Western Province of Sri Lanka. The park is situated close to Horagolla Walauwa, the home of the Bandaranaike family. The park is situated some 40 kilometres (25 mi) from Colombo.

Maligatenna Raja Maha Vihara (Sinhala: මාලිගාතැන්න රජ මහා විහාරය/මාලිගාතැන්න ආරණ්‍ය සේනාසනය) is an ancient Cave temple located in Malwatuhiripitiya village, Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. The temple is located on the Gampaha-Wathurugama Road and approximately 1.6 km (0.99 mi) away from the ancient temple Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara. Currently this temple has been recognized as an archaeological protected site in Gampaha District by Archaeological department.

The Gampaha Wickramarachchi Institute, which had been affiliated with the University of Kelaniya, was elevated to university status in 2021. The decision has been described by some commentators as primarily political rather than based on long-term planning or infrastructure development. In addition to programs in Ayurveda and Indigenous medicine, the university has introduced new degree programs in fields such as biomedical technology, health information and communication technology, and management. These expansions have drawn criticism from academic reviewers, who argue that such programs fall outside the scope of Indigenous medicine and may affect the recognition of the degrees. A five-member expert committee, including representatives of the University Grants Commission (UGC), reportedly recommended that the programs be transferred to more appropriate universities.

Attanagalla is an electorate in Gampaha District, situated in the Western Province of Sri Lanka.

Pilikuththuwa Raja Maha Vihara (Sinhalaː පිළිකුත්තුව රජ මහා විහාරය ) is an ancient Cave temple situated in Pilikuththuwa, Sri Lanka. It is located on the Gampaha - Wathurugama road approximately 3.8 km (2.4 mi) away from the Miriswatta junction and 1.6 km (0.99 mi) from the ancient Buddhist temple, Maligatenna Raja Maha Vihara. The temple has been formally recognised by the Government as an archaeological site in Sri Lanka.

Nittambuwa is a semi urban town, situated in Gampaha District, Sri Lanka. The town is situated on the Colombo-Kandy highway. It is connected also to Negombo with the highway via Veyangoda-Minuwangoda. It was the home town of the world's first female prime minister Sirimawo Bandaranayake.
