Morley, Derbyshire

Mid Derbyshire is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since its 2010 creation by Pauline Latham, a Conservative.

Brackley Gate is a hamlet in the Erewash district, in Derbyshire, England. It forms part of the civil parish of Morley. It is located northeast of Derby, southeast of Belper, west of Ilkeston, south of Ripley, and southwest of Heanor. It lies at the end of a dead-end road and consists of houses and farms. It is surrounded by open countryside and the nearby Bluebell Woods.

Oakwood is a modern housing estate in Derby, Derbyshire, England that was built mainly in the 1980s and 1990s. At the time of construction, it was one of the largest new housing estates in Europe.

Breadsall Priory is a former Augustinian priory in Derbyshire, situated around two kilometres north of Breadsall, and two kilometres east of Little Eaton. The priory was established before 1266 by a member of the Curzon family. Only a small priory, Breadsall was dissolved in 1536. Following dissolution the priory was demolished and a private home, also known as Breadsall Priory, built on the site; the house was altered and extended in both the 19th and 20th centuries, and only a single arch remains of the monastic buildings. The house and its stables are both Grade II Listed. The house is currently used as a hotel, while its stables are in residential use.

Locko Park is a privately owned 18th-century country house in between the villages of Stanley and Ockbrook in the borough of Erewash, near Spondon, Derbyshire, England. It is a Grade II* listed building.

Stanley and Stanley Common is a civil parish in south-east Derbyshire in the East Midlands of England. It comprises the villages of Stanley and Stanley Common. The population of the civil parish as of the 2011 census was 2,100.In former years, the civil parish was simply known as Stanley, but the name was changed in the 1990s. Although in the borough of Erewash, the parish is in the UK Parliamentary Constituency of Mid Derbyshire.

Locko Preceptory was a Preceptory (with an attached leper hospital) of the Military and Hospitaller Order of Saint Lazarus of Jerusalem, situated just over a mile north of Spondon, Derbyshire; the site is today part of the Locko Park estate. It is the only recorded Lazarite Preceptory in England.

Stainsby House is an architecturally notable house in Horsley Woodhouse, Derbyshire, England. It was designed by Nottingham architect David Shelley, and built for the businessman Robert Morley, owner of Alida Packaging at Heanor Gate. The house was completed in 1974.

Lees Brook Community School (previously Lees Brook Sports College) is a co-educational secondary school and sixth form located in the Chaddesden area of Derby, in the English county of Derbyshire.Previously a foundation school administered by Derby City Council, Lees Brook converted to with academy status in September 2011. However the school continues to coordinate with Derby City Council for admissions. The school moved to a new building on the same site in November 2014. Lees Brook Community School offers GCSEs, BTECs and NCFEs as programmes of study for pupils. The school also operates a vocational sixth form provision.

Stanley is a village located roughly halfway between Derby and Ilkeston in Derbyshire, England. The village is part of the Stanley and Stanley Common Local Government Parish, Stanley Common being a separate village a little to the North. Since 1974 it has been part of the Borough of Erewash.

Stanley Common is a village in the south-east of Derbyshire in the East Midlands of England.It is situated on the A609 main road between Ilkeston and Derby and is in the Erewash borough, although in the new (2010) UK parliamentary constituency of Mid Derbyshire. Stanley Common is part of the same civil parish as the village of Stanley which is situated a mile or so to the South. It has the larger population of the two villages and incorporates Smalley Common, once part of the neighbouring village of Smalley, but which is located much nearer to Stanley Common.

Horsley Woodhouse is a village and civil parish in the Amber Valley district of Derbyshire, in the East Midlands of England. The population of the civil parish taken at the 2011 Census was 1,219. It is situated on the A609 road between the neighbouring villages of Kilburn and Smalley. The nearest towns are Heanor, situated 2.6 miles (4.2 km) northeast, and Belper, 3.2 miles (5.1 km) northwest, while the city of Derby is located about 6 miles (9.7 km) south-southwest. The name is said to mean "houses in the wood belonging to Horsley", and is often known by its dialect pronunciation "Ossley Woodhus".
