Divatte-sur-Loire

Le Loroux-Bottereau (French pronunciation: [lə lɔʁu bɔtʁo]; Gallo: Le Lorór-Boterèu, Breton: Lavreer-Botorel) is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.

The naval Battle of La Rochelle 1419 took place between a Castilian and an allied Flemish-Hanseatic fleet. The Castillian victory resulted in their naval supremacy in the Bay of Biscay. but it also led to a protracted conflict with Flanders and the Hanseatic League, which ended in 1443 with further commercial concessions to Castile. The battle was notable for the use of guns by the Castilian fleet.

Saint-Julien-de-Concelles (French pronunciation: [sɛ̃ ʒyljɛ̃ də kɔ̃sɛl] ; Breton: Sant-Juluan-Kankell) is a commune in the Loire-Atlantique department in western France.Saint-Julien-de-Concelles is the home of the popular beurre blanc sauce. The sauce was first prepared in a small restaurant on the banks of the river Loire. The town is also one of France's main growers of the mâche (lambs lettuce). Its flat and sandy land is suited to growing vegetables, such as leeks, and some flowers. Saint-Julien-de-Concelles also grows the grapes on its hills that produce local Muscadet wine. A large lake, known as the Plan d'Eau du Chêne, is located near to the center of Saint-Julien-de-Concelles. The lake supports sailing, fishing, various sports and attracts walkers and nature lovers.

Historically, the commune was part of Brittany. The chateau de Goulaine is one of the tourist sites that can be visited in the commune. Henri IV of France (king from 1589 to 1610) made the seigneury of Goulaine a marquisate in favour of Gabriel de Goulaine, husband of Marguerite de Bretagne. On 22 October 1941, six of the 16 hostages shot in Nantes following the attack on Karl Hotz were buried in the Haute-Goulaine cemetery.
