Sibley–Elmdorf Historic District is a national historic district located at Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The district encompasses 840 contributing buildings (486 primary buildings) and 1 contributing site in a predominantly residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1904 and 1963, and includes buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Classical Revival, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, American Foursquare and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect designs directed toward a middle-class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward. Located in the district is the Westminster Presbyterian Church (now the New Life Fellowship Church, 1915), West High School (now known as the Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School, 1905) by Rochester architect J. Foster Warner, Walter Spencer Public School #16 (c. 1911), and Aberdeen Square Park (c. 1915).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The district encompasses 508 contributing buildings (351 primary buildings) in a predominantly residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1874 and 1935, and includes buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Queen Anne, Colonial Revival, Gothic Revival, and Tudor Revival, Mission Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect designs directed toward a middle-class and working class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward. Located in the district is the former St. Augustine Roman Catholic Church complex.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

The district encompasses 61 contributing buildings (37 residences) in an exclusively residential section of Rochester. The district developed between about 1920 and 1942, and includes residential buildings in a variety of architectural styles including Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Bungalow / American Craftsman. The dwellings reflect modest designs directed toward a middle-class clientele in a newly developing area of Rochester's Nineteenth Ward.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Church of Saints Peter and Paul Complex, now known as the Coptic Monastery of Saint Shenouda, is a historic Roman Catholic church complex located on the edge of the Susan B. Anthony neighborhood of Rochester, Monroe County, New York. The complex consists of the Italian Renaissance Revival style church (1911), former school (1912), rectory (1926), and rectory garage (1926). The church features a loggia and 145 feet tall bell tower. The school has been converted to 12 apartments. The church was sold to the Coptic Monastery of Saint Shenouda in 2007.: 3–4, 6 The complex was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, also known as Trinity Emmanuel Presbyterian Church, is a historic Presbyterian church located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. It is an Arts and Crafts / American Craftsman style building constructed in 1914–1915. The main, original two story block of the building is cruciform in plan with slightly longer arms at the north and south ends.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Simon Business School (formerly known as the William E. Simon Graduate School of Business Administration) is the business school of the University of Rochester. It is located on the university's River Campus in Rochester, New York. It was renamed after William E. Simon (1927–2000), the 63rd United States Secretary of the Treasury, in 1986. The school's present dean is Sevin Yeltekin. Simon Business School offers full-time, part-time, and executive (based in either Rochester or Switzerland) Master of Business Administration (MBA) programs, as well as Master of Science (MS) programs. The school is home to substantial academic research enterprises and a PhD program in several business disciplines.

Genesee Valley Park, originally named "South Park", is located in the south side of Rochester, New York along the shores of the Genesee River. The New York State Barge Canal (the currently in-use portion of the Erie Canal) crosses the Genesee River within the park. The University of Rochester is located near the park's north entrance.

Mohawk Airlines Flight 112 was a scheduled passenger flight from Rochester-Monroe Airport in Rochester, New York to Newark International Airport in Newark, New Jersey. On July 2, 1963, the aircraft operating the flight, a Martin 4-0-4 with a total of 15,970 operational hours, crashed during takeoff. The accident killed 7 people (2 crewmen and 5 passengers) and injured 36. Flight 112 attempted to take off on Rochester's runway 28 into a heavy thunderstorm. The co-pilot was unable to maintain control of the aircraft, and it fell to earth two minutes after takeoff. The plane struck the ground left wing-first. It then cartwheeled wing-over-wing and caught fire. The co-pilot was flying the plane from the left seat in violation of company policy. Both pilots working together were unable to control the plane, as the wind had shifted from a headwind to a tailwind. The Civil Aeronautics Board found the cause of the accident to be the pilot's decision to take off in bad weather, and cited the weather itself as a contributing factor.

O'Kane Market and O'Kane Building are historic commercial buildings located at Rochester in Monroe County, New York. The O'Kane Market (1878) and O'Kane Building (1889–1890) are architecturally significant as intact, representative examples of late 19th century Italianate and Eclectic style commercial properties in Rochester's Eighth Ward.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.
