La Mairena is a hill top residential resort on the Costa del Sol, just 5 km (3 mi) from the coastal ruralisation of Elviria, on the eastern outskirts of Marbella, Spain. At 400 m (1300 ft) above sea level, the village has views towards the Sierra Nevada Mountains, the Mediterranean Sea, the Rock of Gibraltar and the African coast. The village is located within the municipalities of Ojen and Marbella, in the Andalusian province of Málaga. In 2012, a wildfire devastated much of the countryside surrounding La Mairena, There was one reported fatality, with damage mainly to gardens. Many cork oaks, which hadn’t had their protective bark harvested before the fire, have survived and are regaining their abundant canopy of small dark leaves.

Elviria is an ruralisation on the Costa del Sol, 6 km (4 mi) from the old town of Marbella, Andalucia. The nearest airport is located in Málaga at a 45 km (27 mi) distance and the nearest train station in Fuengirola. Elviria is a lively low density residential areas with amenities. As the center of Marbella East it has shopping facilities, restaurants and bars. The area is covered with vegetation, mostly native pine trees and cork oaks. Elviria is a villa area with some low rise luxury apartment complexes between the villas. Just a ten-minute drive from the centre of Marbella, is close to the many amenities of the bustling town of Marbella. Elviria hills (La Mairena and El Soto de Marbella) offer views towards the Sierra Nevada, the Mediterranean Sea, the Rock of Gibraltar and the African coast. The village is surrounded by a UNESCO biosphere reserve called La Sierra de las Nieves.

Sitio De Calahonda is a small town in Andalusia, southern Spain. It lies on the coast about halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella, and is part of the municipality of Mijas.

Torre Ladrones (Thieves Tower) is a tower on the Puerto de Cabopino beach in Marbella, Spain. It is part of the coastal fortification line along the Andalusian Mediterranean coast. Both the architecture and the materials used, indicate that Torre Ladrones was built during the period of Arab domination in the Spanish peninsula. It is 15 meters high, a figure that makes it the tallest watchtower of the Malaga coast. The interior is divided into three rooms and a housetop. At that time, its role was clearly defensive: to warn of potential enemies and to organize a coordinated defense in case the enemy attacked. Torre Ladrones was declared Bien de Interés Cultural (Good of Cultural Interest) in 1985, and it is one of the most visited monuments in Marbella.

St Anthony's College is an independent educational establishment located between Mijas and Fuengirola, Spain. It is notable as it is the oldest British college on the Costa del Sol, and indeed in Andalucia. It currently offers British education, with convalidated Spanish curriculum from ages 3–18 and has a large range of nationalities in both its student faculty and its teaching staff. It is an accredited school with the British Council, the Spanish Ministry of Education and the Junta Andalucia.

Torre Río Real is a tower in Marbella, southern Spain, built in 1575. The tower, located next to the Mediterranean Expressway, is 10.85 metres (35.6 ft) in height and 22 metres (72 ft) in circumference. Like other beacon towers along the Mediterranean coast of Andalusia, the tower was part of a surveillance system used by the coast and Christian Arabs. Also like the other towers, it has been declared Bien de Interés Cultural.

Ojén (population 5.045) is a town and municipality that sits in the mountains behind Marbella in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. Nearby cities include Mijas to the east, Marbella to the south, Istán to the west, and Monda and Coín to the north.

Calaburras Lighthouse (Spanish: Faro de Calaburras) is a lighthouse located at the coastal point known as Punta de Calaburras near Mijas, Málaga province, in Spain. The station was the first air/sea lighthouse in Spain and was built in 1863 and rebuilt in 1928. It is the main beacon of the province. The light is used by ships and planes navigating the Strait of Gibraltar. The present lighthouse is 29 metres (95 ft) high having replaced a 13.5 metres (44 ft) high masonry tower. Its signal is automatic and electric since 1949. Its light signal flashes every 5 seconds and its maximum visibility range is 28 nautical miles.

Costa del Sol Occidental (English: "Western Coast of the Sun") is a comarca (county) in Andalusia, southern Spain. It occupies a narrow coastal strip delimited by the cordillera Penibética (Sierra de Mijas, Sierra Alpujata, Sierra Blanca, Sierra Bermeja, Sierra Crestallina) to the north and the Mediterranean Sea to the south. The coast shows a diversity of landscapes: beaches, cliffs, estuaries, bays and dunes. The rivers are short and seasonal, while the agriculture is hampered by the lee effect caused by the Baetic System.

Sohail Castle (Spanish: Castillo Sohail) is a castle in Fuengirola, Spain. It is a historic fortress located in the coastal town of Fuengirola, situated along the Costa del Sol in the province of Málaga, Andalusia, Spain. The castle sits atop a hill overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, providing a strategic vantage point for controlling the surrounding area. Throughout its history, the castle has played a significant role in various historical events, and today it is a popular tourist attraction and cultural venue in the region.

Alhaurín el Grande is a town located in the province of Málaga in the autonomous community of Andalusia in southern Spain. It covers an area of 73.1 km2 extending from the northern slope of the Sierra de Mijas and the plain of the Guadalhorce river, where alternate crops of citrus and other fruit trees orchards are found. The population reaches 23,675 inhabitants, according to 2010 data. The origin of the name was given by the Arabs, who called it "Alhaurin", where the Catholic Monarchs added "el Grande" to distinguish it from the neighboring town of Alhaurín de la Torre after the conquest of both sites in 1485. It is situated between the river Fahala and the stream of Blas González. The coast is close by and there is a network of roads to get there. There is a road to Málaga Airport and Torremolinos, which takes about 30 minutes by car. A new road was built in 2010 connecting the town with Fuengirola and the beach which is only 20 minutes drive. There is also another new road to Marbella, to the southwest with Mijas just along a winding road round the mountain. From Alhaurín there is a view over the "Hoya de Málaga", Málaga's vale, full of lemon trees and other fruit trees. Villafranco del Guadalhorce is a village within Alhaurín el Grande's municipal territory. It was founded by colonist families in the 1950s and subsidized by the Instituto Nacional de Colonización of the Spanish government.

Estadio Municipal Antonio Lorenzo Cuevas is a stadium in Marbella, Spain. It is primarily used for football. Spanish football team Marbella FC holding home matches at this stadium. The capacity of the stadium is 7,300 people. It is a venue for the Marbella Cup and Football Impact Cup, an annual friendly football tournaments. Queen performed here on 5 August 1986 during their Magic Tour. This was their penultimate live show with Freddie Mercury. Exactly two years later, Michael Jackson performed in front of 28,000 during his Bad World Tour. In July 1990, Prince performed here on his Nude Tour.
