The Apostolic Administration of Uzbekistan is a Roman Catholic (Latin Church) Apostolic Administration (pre-diocesan jurisdiction; originally an Independent Mission) for the Catholics of Uzbekistan (West Turkistan, Central Asia). It is exempt, i.e. directly subject to the Holy See (not part of any ecclesiastical province) and entitled to a titular bishop. Its episcopal see is the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, in the national capital Tashkent.

The Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan (Uzbek: Oʻzbekiston Respublikasi Fanlar akademiyasi, Ўзбекистон Республикаси Фанлар академияси) is the main scientific organization of the Republic of Uzbekistan. It coordinates research in all areas of science and technology. The academy was established in 1943 as the Academy of Sciences of the Uzbek SSR. After the collapse of the USSR, it became the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan.

The Fundamental Library of Uzbekistan Academy of Sciences is one of the key parts of "Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan" and plays significant role in development of sciences in the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Mashinasozlar is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Oʻzbekiston Line. The station was opened on 6 November 1987 as part of the extension of the line from Toshkent to Chkalov. Architectural and artistic design of the station is made columns and precast concrete structures. Columns and ceiling of the hall are decorated with reddish-green marble Syon-Shusha. Floors platform halls, vestibules and underground passages are covered with granite. The station was previously known as Tashselmash.

Hamid Olimjon is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Chilonzor Line. This station is named after poet Hamid Olimjon. The station vault type with two underground vestibules. It was opened on 18 August 1980 as part of the second section of Chilonzor Line, between October inkilobi and Maksim Gor'kiy.On the station platform 9 luminaire made of white marble and glazes are mounted (painter I. Lipen).

Westminster International University in Tashkent (WIUT) is the first international university in Uzbekistan and first in Central Asia to offer Western education, with United Kingdom (UK) qualifications. WIUT was established in 2002 in partnership with the "UMID" Presidential Foundation, the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of Uzbekistan, and the University of Westminster in London (UoW).

The Academic Lyceum of Westminster International University in Tashkent (ALWIUT; Uzbek: Toshkent xalqaro Vestminster universiteti akademik litseyi) is a public academic lyceum affiliated with Westminster International University in Tashkent in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Established in 2008, the lyceum offers a two-year pre-university curriculum focused primarily on advanced mathematics and English. In the 2021 national ranking of academic lyceums published by the State Inspectorate for Supervision of Quality in Education, ALWIUT was ranked second among academic lyceums across Uzbekistan.

Moscow State University, Tashkent, or Branch of Moscow State University Named for M.V. Lomonosov in Tashkent, was established in 2006 by the government of Uzbekistan as a branch of Moscow State University. The university primarily focuses on two areas: psychology and computer science. The campus is at 22 Amir Temur Prospect.

Amir Temur Xiyoboni (“Amir Timur Avenue”) is a station of the Tashkent Metro on Chilonzor Line. It is a transfer station to Yunus Rajabiy, Yunusobod Line. The station is named for the square of Amir Timur.
