Harlington School is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in the Harlington area of the London Borough of Hillingdon, England.

Hayes and Harlington is a constituency in the west of London represented in the House of Commons of the UK Parliament since 1997 by John McDonnell of the Labour Party, who also served as the Shadow Chancellor of the Exchequer from 2015 to 2020. The seat, created in 1950, is 1 of 49 won (held or gained) by a Labour candidate in 2017 from a total of 73 covering London. In the period 1983-1997 the seat was Conservative-represented. From 1981 until 1983 the seat was represented, by defection, by a member of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) which later merged into the Liberal Democrats. From 1950 until 1983 the seat was won by Labour candidates. Its London Heathrow Airport component has most of the border with Buckinghamshire and Surrey and its shape is near-square with a north-east square attached: Hayes and Yeading. Harlington is among the lowest-population components of the seat; with Hayes it gives its name to a railway station and with Hayes was the name of an urban district.

The Global Academy is a University Technical College located on The Old Vinyl Factory site in Hayes, London.The UTC opened in September 2016 and is sponsored by the media and entertainment group Global and by University of the Arts London.In its first year, 100 students started in Year 10 and 100 in Year 12. In its second year, 150 students started in Year 10 and 75 in Year 12. The Academy will eventually have 800 students.On 20 April 2017, the Academy was officially opened by the Duke of Cambridge and Prince Harry in their capacity as patrons of "Heads Together", a mental health charity. Two breakfast shows from Global radio stations were broadcasting live from the Academy: Heart London Breakfast with Jamie Theakston, and Emma Bunton and Nick Ferrari on LBC.The academy has an online student radio station and TV channel, Youths Choice.

The EMI Archive Trust is a charity which was established in 1996 to hold and maintain the archives of the EMI company and its parent companies such as the Gramophone Company. The archives are located in Hayes, where EMI had its main factories, and contain many antique recordings.

The Old Vinyl Factory is a complex of buildings formerly owned by the British music company EMI in Hayes, within the London Borough of Hillingdon. The site was originally purchased by Gramophone and Typewriter Ltd and the buildings were designed by Wallis, Gilbert and Partners in the early 20th century. While used by EMI, the site was responsible for the production of many thousands of shellac and vinyl records by 20th century musical acts, as well as radios and other broadcasting equipment. In April 2011 the site was purchased for redevelopment by a joint venture of Cathedral Group PLC and Development Securities plc (now U + I Group). Under plans for £250 million of works, the site, covering 17 acres (6.9 ha), is to include commercial and residential units and a university technical college.

The Harlington Locomotive Society, also informally known as the Harlington Miniature Railway, is a trestle railway about half a mile in length through an old orchard in the village of Harlington, London Borough of Hillingdon, Greater London.

Lake Farm Country Park is an expanse of green belt land approximately 60 acres in size fringed by trees and the Grand Union Canal, situated in the south of Hayes in the London Borough of Hillingdon. Its formal status as a country park dates back to September 2002. In 2014 an area of the park was developed as an academy school by Hillingdon Council. The development was controversial, since the site was classed as green-belt land, and several protests were held against the plans. Despite opposition, the application was approved in 2013, and construction continued throughout 2014. The school opened in late 2014.The former common land site was located approximately 0.5 km to the south of Wood End, Hayes, immediately to the north of the canal. It was bounded by Dawley Road in the west, Botwell Common Road to the north, and Botwell Lane to the east. The Country Park had ten formal pedestrian entrances along Dawley, Botwell Common Road, the Grand Union Canal and Botwell Lane. It also had two bridleway entrances: one off Botwell Common Road and one off Dawley Road.

The London Motor Museum had more than 160 exhibits; they included classic cars from the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and a selection of famous cars – including Herbie the Volkswagen Beetle, one of six original Batmobiles used in the first Batman (1989) film, and a Ford Gran Torino from the television series Starsky & Hutch. The museum closed down permanently in June 2018 after a dispute with the local council over business rates. The vehicles have now been moved to other museums across the UK.

Hayes and Harlington (until 1930, Hayes) was a local government, urban district in west Middlesex, England from 1904 to 1965.It was created in 1904 as Hayes Urban District - covering the Hayes parish transferred from Uxbridge Rural District (including Yeading). In 1930 the district acquired the parishes Cranford and larger Harlington from the disbanded Staines Rural District at that time adding the "and Harlington" suffix. Its main boundary change occurred in 1934 coinciding with the abolition of internal Cranford civil parish, its east going to Heston and Isleworth M.B. (361 acres (1.46 km2)); the west remaining and added to Harlington parish (368 acres (1.49 km2)).In 1965, under the London Government Act 1963, Hayes and Harlington Urban District was abolished, the area becoming part of the London Borough of Hillingdon in Greater London. The district's name survives, however, in both the Hayes and Harlington Parliamentary constituency and Hayes and Harlington railway station.

Hayes & Harlington is a railway station serving the west London districts Hayes and Harlington in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It is 10 miles 71 chains (17.5 km; 10.89 mi) down the line from London Paddington and is situated between Southall and West Drayton. It has long operated as a minor stop on the Great Western Main Line and is at the start of a spur to Heathrow Airport, to and from which passenger trains operate since the early 21st-century building of the spur which benefits from a flyover junction. The station is managed by Transport for London, with most services provided by the Elizabeth line, between London Paddington and Reading or Heathrow.

Harlington is a district of Hayes the London Borough of Hillingdon and one of five historic parishes partly developed into London Heathrow Airport and associated businesses, the one most heavily developed being Harmondsworth. It is centred 13.6 miles (21.9 km) west of Charing Cross. The district adjoins Hayes to the north and shares a railway station with the larger district, which is its post town, on the Great Western Main Line. It is in the west of the county of Greater London and until 1965 it was in the south-west corner of the historic county of Middlesex.

Stockley Park is a business estate and public country park located between Hayes, Yiewsley and West Drayton in the London Borough of Hillingdon. In August 2020 it was listed in the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England as Grade II. Stockley Park is the home of the VAR hub.
