Little York is an unincorporated community in Butler Township, Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. It is located on the east bank of the Stillwater River, at the intersection of Little York Road and Meeker Road, not far from the intersection of I-70 and Ohio State Route 48.

Butler Township is one of the nine townships of Montgomery County, Ohio, United States. As of the 2020 census, the population was 8,269.

Aullwood House and Garden is a registered historic site near Dayton, Ohio, listed in the National Register on 1999-02-05. The property once served as home for Dayton-area industrialist John Aull and his wife, Marie. Today, the garden is one of twenty-five properties cared for by Five Rivers MetroParks. There are guided tours of the 32-acre (13 ha) gardens.

Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm AKA Aullwood Audubon is an environmental education, sustainable agriculture, and Audubon Center of the National Audubon Society. Aullwood Audubon includes a nature center (Marie S. Aull Education Center), educational farm and farm discovery center (Aullwood Farm and Charity A. Krueger Farm Discovery Center), and a 200 acre nature sanctuary with 8 miles of walking trails. Aullwood Audubon is located in Montgomery County in southwestern Ohio, United States, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of downtown Dayton.

Dayton Rugby Grounds (DRG) is 12.5 acres rugby facility in north Dayton adjacent to Shiloh Park. DRG has two full sized pitches, changing rooms, bathrooms, concessions and a maintenance building Dayton rugby teams have dreamed of a home for rugby since 1975. It was discussed and considered for many years and during the “Great Recession” of the late 2000s a movement towards land purchase began as land price dropped in Dayton. The Property Committee visited over 20 possible sites of the thousands they had looked at on the internet. One of the sites was Riverdale Baseball Park. In early January 2011 a presentation by the property committee lead DARC to vote to donate the money to purchase DRG. DRG is now the home for rugby in the Dayton area.

The airport is in an exclave of the city of Dayton not contiguous with the rest of the city. Its address is 3600 Terminal Drive, Dayton, Ohio 45377. The airport is headquarters for American Eagle carrier PSA Airlines. The National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems called it a primary commercial service airport. Dayton International is the third busiest and third largest airport in Ohio behind Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and John Glenn Columbus International Airport. (While Cincinnati's airport is also busier, it is located in the neighboring state of Kentucky.) Dayton International Airport handled 2,607,528 passengers in 2012 and had 57,914 combined takeoffs and landings in 2012. Dayton ranked No. 76 in U.S. airport boardings in 2008. The airport has non-stop flights to 17 destinations.

The CenterPoint Energy Dayton Air Show is an annual event held at the Dayton International Airport in Vandalia, Ohio, eight miles north of Dayton, Ohio. From 2013 to 2019, the show has been held on a weekend in late June. Prior to 2013, and again starting in 2021, it was held in mid-July each year. The history of this flight exhibition dates back to 1910 and the Wright Company. Dayton is the hometown of the Wright brothers and is where Orville and Wilbur built their first powered aircraft. The show's main sponsor is CenterPoint Energy and it is considered to be one of the country's premier aviation events. It was sponsored by Vectren until 2018. It is estimated that the 2010 Dayton Air Show attracted nearly 80,000 people and had a $5 million impact on the Dayton region's local economy. The 2012 show is estimated to have a $3 million impact on Dayton's economy. There was no air show in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but the show returned in July 2021.In 2023, an air show with the United States Air Force Thunderbirds, The Flying Bulls, The Red Bull Team, and the F-22 Raptor Demo Team was held, along with a McDonnell Douglas F/A-18 Hornet of VFA-122, McDonnell Douglas F-15 Eagle of the 159th Fighter Wing, A B-25D "Rosie's Reply" of the Twelfth Air Force, 57th Bomb Wing, 340th Bombardment Group in the 489th Bomb Group, a Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-17, and a Boeing C-17 Globemaster III.

Salem Mall was a shopping mall in Trotwood, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio, United States. It was built in 1966 by The Rouse Company and originally featured Rike's and Sears as its main anchor stores. Expansion in 1981 added a new wing of stores and JCPenney, while further renovations in that same decade included a food court. Rike's was later dual-branded as Shillito-Rike's and then renamed to Lazarus The mall began to lose stores throughout the 1990s, including both Lazarus and JCPenney, the former of which was torn down for The Home Depot. After an extended period of decline, the mall closed in 2005 and was demolished in 2006. Sears, which was excluded from the demolition, remained operational until it closed in 2013. In 2022, it was announced that a large portion of the mall would become the new site of The Funk Music Hall of Fame and Exhibition Center.

Butler High School is a public high school in Vandalia, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton. The school is the only high school in the Vandalia-Butler City Schools district. The school mascot is the aviator. Butler has been rated as "Excellent" since 2005 by the Ohio Department of Education. The school met all 12 of the state indicators for the 2005–2006 school year. As of 2019–20, they are a part of the Miami Division of the Miami Valley League (MVL) athletic conference.
