The Egypt Valley Wildlife Area is a 14,300 acres (5,800 ha) former surface mining area in northwestern Belmont County Ohio, United States. Since the mid-1990s, the Ohio Department of Natural Resources has administered the area. For many years, local residents have fished, hunted, camped and explored the high walls, backwaters, and graveyards that make up this area. People, to a lesser extent, call the area Egypt Bottom.The area encompasses the northwest corner of Belmont County. Morristown and Hendrysburg are on the southern edges of the area, while Holloway and Flushing are on the northern edge of the area. The southern end of Piedmont Lake, the opposite end of the dam in Piedmont, juts into the northern pocket of the area as well.

The Barnesville-Bradfield Airport (FAA LID: 6G5) is a publicly owned, public use airport located 1 mile northwest of Barnesville, Ohio in Belmont County. The airport sits on 55 acres at an elevation 1312 feet (400 m). The airport is included in the National Plan of Integrated Airport Systems (NPIAS) as a General Aviation facility. The airport holds an annual Airport Day in early summer. The day includes aircraft displays, airplane rides, games, and food. The Airport Authority, Barnesville Chamber of Commerce and the Village of Barnesville sponsor the event to generate interest in aviation, especially as a career field, and promote the airport's role in boosting the local economy.

Holloway is a village in Belmont County, Ohio, United States. The population was 330 at the 2020 census. It is part of the Wheeling metropolitan area. Holloway was laid out in 1883, and named after the local Holloway family.

The Barnesville Historic District consists of the oldest part of Barnesville, Ohio, originally platted in 1808 and contains roughly 40 acres and 180 buildings. The district was added to the National Register on July 19, 1984.
