Åmøy is an island in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 5.3-square-kilometre (2.0 sq mi) island lies just north of the city of Stavanger in a group of islands. The islands of Sokn and Bru both lie to the west of Åmøy and the islands of Mosterøy and Rennesøy lie to the north, and the island of Hidle lies to the east.

Vestre Åmøy Chapel (Norwegian: Vestre Åmøy kapell) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located on the western end of the small island of Åmøy. It is an annex chapel in the Mosterøy parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1953 using designs by an unknown architect. The chapel seats about 80 people. The building was renovated in 1980.

Sokn is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.31-square-kilometre (0.51 sq mi) island lies in a group of islands on the south side of the Boknafjorden, just east of the city of Stavanger. There are several islands surrounding Sokn: Bru to the southwest, Åmøy to the southeast, and Mosterøy to the north. All three islands are connected to Sokn by bridges, and the undersea Byfjord Tunnel has its northern terminus on the island, connecting all these islands to the mainland. Most of the island is covered with farms or moorland, with most of the population living along the southeastern shore.

Bru is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 3-square-kilometre (1.2 sq mi) island lies south of the Boknafjorden, just off the coast of the Stavanger Peninsula, along the Byfjorden. The highest point on the island is the 92-metre (302 ft) tall mountain, Brufjellet. The island sits in a group of islands with Sokn and Mosterøy to the north and Åmøy to the east.The island has a road connection to the mainland. There is a bridge on the northeast side of Bru connecting it to the island of Sokn, to the north. Sokn is connected to the mainland by the Byfjord Tunnel, part of the European route E39 highway. The tunnel actually passes below the island of Bru on its way to the city of Stavanger.The island is populated, mostly on the eastern side in what is referred to as the village of Bru. There is a growing population of commuters who live on the island and work in the nearby city of Stavanger. The soil is cultivated on the eastern part of the island, while the western part is mainly moorland. Most farmers on the island keep sheep.

HNoMS Æger was a Sleipner-class destroyer launched at Karljohansvern naval shipyard in Horten in 1936. The Sleipner class was part of a Norwegian rearmament scheme started as war became ever more likely in the 1930s. When the Germans invaded Norway on 9 April 1940, Æger intercepted and sank the clandestine German supply ship Roda. She was shortly afterwards attacked and sunk by German bombers, claiming two of the attacking aircraft with her anti-aircraft armament before being taken out of action by a heavy bomb. This makes her the first naval ship sunk by aeroplane in hostility.

Grasholmen is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Buøy neighborhood in the borough Hundvåg in the city of Stavanger, just north of the city centre. The island is connected to mainland Stavanger via the Stavanger City Bridge and it is connected to the neighboring island of Sølyst by a short bridge. Grasholmen was historically a part of the municipality of Hetland, but on 1 January 1867 it was transferred to the city of Stavanger.

Austre Åmøy Chapel (Norwegian: Austre Åmøy kapell) is a chapel of the Church of Norway in Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located on the eastern part of the small island of Åmøy. It is an annex chapel in the Mosterøy parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The wooden chapel was built in a long church style in 1904 using designs by the architect Jæger. The chapel seats about 120 people.

The Byfjord Tunnel (Norwegian: Byfjordtunnelen) is a subsea road tunnel in Rogaland county, Norway. The 5,875-metre-long (19,275 ft) tunnel runs between the village of Grødem on the mainland in Randaberg municipality and the island of Sokn in Stavanger municipality, running underneath the Byfjorden. The tunnel was built as part of the Rennesøy Fixed Link project which opened in 1992 with the goal of connecting all the islands of Rennesøy to the mainland. The tunnel was a toll road from 1992 until 2006. The tunnel is part of European route E39 highway. With a maximum 8% grade, the tunnel reaches a depth of 223 metres (732 ft) below sea level at its lowest point. The tunnel was Europe's longest and the world's deepest tunnel upon its completion, it was surpassed by a deeper tunnel in 1994 and a longer tunnel in 1999. The tunnel had an average daily traffic of 9,717 vehicles in 2018.

Byfjorden is a fjord in Rogaland county, Norway. The 10-kilometre (6.2 mi) long fjord runs through the municipalities of Randaberg and Stavanger. The fjord begins at the Tungenes Lighthouse at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula and it flows south along the east side of the peninsula to the city of Stavanger. The islands of Bru, Åmøy, Hundvåg, Buøy, Engøy, Sølyst, and Grasholmen lie along the east side of the fjord. The fjord connects to the Boknafjorden at the north end.The fjord is crossed by three roads. The Stavanger City Bridge and the Hundvåg Tunnel (both at the south end of the fjord) and the Byfjord Tunnel (at the northern end of the fjord).

Ytre Tasta is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the mainland borough of Tasta. The Indre Tasta neighborhood lies to the south, the Gandsfjorden is to the east, and the municipality of Randaberg is to the north and west. The neighborhood has a population of 7,909 which is distributed over an area of 6.01 square kilometres (2.32 sq mi). Vardeneset Church is located in this neighborhood.

Grødem Church (Norwegian: Grødem kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Randaberg Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grødem. It is one of the two churches for the Randaberg parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray concrete church was built in a semi-circular design in 2000 using designs by the architect Ove Morten Berge. The church seats about 450 people. The church was consecrated on 28 May 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Baasland.

Hundvåg is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The island is located in the borough of Hundvåg, just north of the centre of the city of Stavanger, separated by the Byfjorden. The 4.7-square-kilometre (1.8 sq mi) island is relatively flat and very urbanized. There were 9803 residents of the island in 2014. There are some agricultural areas as well as a lot of industry. The small island of Buøy is connected to the south side of Hundvåg by a small man-made isthmus. Hundvåg Church is located on the island.
