Ytre Tasta

Byfjorden is a fjord in Rogaland county, Norway. The 10-kilometre (6.2 mi) long fjord runs through the municipalities of Randaberg and Stavanger. The fjord begins at the Tungenes Lighthouse at the northern end of the Stavanger Peninsula and it flows south along the east side of the peninsula to the city of Stavanger. The islands of Bru, Åmøy, Hundvåg, Buøy, Engøy, Sølyst, and Grasholmen lie along the east side of the fjord. The fjord connects to the Boknafjorden at the north end.The fjord is crossed by three roads. The Stavanger City Bridge and the Hundvåg Tunnel (both at the south end of the fjord) and the Byfjord Tunnel (at the northern end of the fjord).

Vardeneset Church (Norwegian: Vardeneset kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Ytre Tasta neighborhood in the borough of Tasta in the northern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Vardeneset parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The expanded clay aggregate church was built in a rectangular design in 18 using designs by the architect Steinar Skartveit. The church seats about 450 people.The church was consecrated on 2 January 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Oddvar Baasland.

Tasta Church (Norwegian: Tasta kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Indre Tasta neighborhood in the borough of Tasta in the northern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Tasta parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The concrete church was built in a rectangular design in 1977 using designs by the architects Jan Jæger and Per Faltinsen. The church seats about 450 people.

Tasta is a borough of the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. The borough is located in the northern part of the city. The 10.87-square-kilometre (2,690-acre) borough has a population (2016) of 15,379. This gives the borough a population density of 1,415 inhabitants per square kilometre (3,660/sq mi).Prior to 2020, the eastern half of the island of Åmøy was also included in this borough, but starting in 2020 that area has been part of the borough of Rennesøy. The local sports clubs are Tasta IL and Vardeneset BK.

The Ytre Tasta neighborhood lies to the north, the Gandsfjorden lies to the east, the Stokkavatnet lake lies to the west, and the borough of Eiganes og Våland lies to the south. The neighborhood has a population of 4,833 which is distributed over an area of 1.62 square kilometres (0.63 sq mi). Tasta Church is located in this neighborhood.

Møllebukta (Mill Bay) is a small bay with a sandy beach in the inner part of the Hafrsfjorden in the borough of Madla in the city of Stavanger in the southwestern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is named after the Møllebekken creek which flows into the bay on the west side of the beach area. The area historically was utilized for running a corn mill. A park was established in the bay in the 18th century. The beach has a length of about 100 metres (330 ft) and it is popular for swimming and sunbathing.The bronze sculpture Sverd i fjell by Fritz Røed is located at the nearby Mølleberget rock on the east side of the beach.

Stavanger Prison (Norwegian: Stavanger fengsel) is a prison, located in Stavanger, Norway The prison was opened in its present form in 2001. The building was then renovated and replaced the former Stavanger Prison which was completed in 1963. Stavanger Prison a capacity of 71 in 4 compartments for all categories of prisoners. The inmates are still in police custody or serving sentences. The prison has separate departments for women and a special department to solve problems with drugs and alcohol. The prison belongs to the Southwestern Region of the Norwegian Correctional Services.

It is located in the Stokka neighborhood in the Eiganes og Våland borough in the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Stokka parish which is part of the Stavanger domprosti (arch-deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The red brick church was built in a fan-shaped design in 1974 using designs by the architectural firm: Byarkitekten Stavanger. The church seats about 500 people.

Grødem is a village in Randaberg municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The village is a middle-class suburb of the city of Stavanger, located immediately to the south. The village is located along the Byfjorden at the northeastern tip of the Stavanger Peninsula, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the village of Randaberg. The European route E39 highway runs along the west side of the village. The entrance to the Byfjord Tunnel lies at the north end of the village. Grødem Church is located in the village.

Kampen is a neighborhood (delområde) in the city of Stavanger which lies in the southwestern part of the large municipality of Stavanger in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the northern part of the borough of Eiganes og Våland surrounding the Kampen Church. The neighborhood has a population of 6,050 which is distributed over an area of 1.75 square kilometres (430 acres).

HNoMS Æger was a Sleipner-class destroyer launched at Karljohansvern naval shipyard in Horten in 1936. The Sleipner class was part of a Norwegian rearmament scheme started as war became ever more likely in the 1930s. When the Germans invaded Norway on 9 April 1940, Æger intercepted and sank the clandestine German supply ship Roda. She was shortly afterwards attacked and sunk by German bombers, claiming two of the attacking aircraft with her anti-aircraft armament before being taken out of action by a heavy bomb. This makes her the first naval ship sunk by aeroplane in hostility.
