Byfjord Tunnel

Bru is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 3-square-kilometre (1.2 sq mi) island lies south of the Boknafjorden, just off the coast of the Stavanger Peninsula, along the Byfjorden. The highest point on the island is the 92-metre (302 ft) tall mountain, Brufjellet. The island sits in a group of islands with Sokn and Mosterøy to the north and Åmøy to the east.The island has a road connection to the mainland. There is a bridge on the northeast side of Bru connecting it to the island of Sokn, to the north. Sokn is connected to the mainland by the Byfjord Tunnel, part of the European route E39 highway. The tunnel actually passes below the island of Bru on its way to the city of Stavanger.The island is populated, mostly on the eastern side in what is referred to as the village of Bru. There is a growing population of commuters who live on the island and work in the nearby city of Stavanger. The soil is cultivated on the eastern part of the island, while the western part is mainly moorland. Most farmers on the island keep sheep.

Sokn is an island in Stavanger municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. The 1.31-square-kilometre (0.51 sq mi) island lies in a group of islands on the south side of the Boknafjorden, just east of the city of Stavanger. There are several islands surrounding Sokn: Bru to the southwest, Åmøy to the southeast, and Mosterøy to the north. All three islands are connected to Sokn by bridges, and the undersea Byfjord Tunnel has its northern terminus on the island, connecting all these islands to the mainland. Most of the island is covered with farms or moorland, with most of the population living along the southeastern shore.

Grødem Church (Norwegian: Grødem kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Randaberg Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Grødem. It is one of the two churches for the Randaberg parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The gray concrete church was built in a semi-circular design in 2000 using designs by the architect Ove Morten Berge. The church seats about 450 people. The church was consecrated on 28 May 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Baasland.

Randaberg Stadion is an association football stadium just outside the village of Randaberg in the municipality of Randaberg in Rogaland county, Norway. It is the home ground of the Randaberg IL football team. The stadium was renovated and expanded in 2005.The record attendance is about 3,500, from a 2007 cup match where Randaberg played Viking.

It is one of the two churches for the Randaberg parish which is part of the Tungenes prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The white, wooden church was built in a long church design in 1845 using designs by the architect Hans Linstow. The church seats about 460 people.

The village is located along the Byfjorden at the northeastern tip of the Stavanger Peninsula, about 2 kilometres (1.2 mi) east of the village of Randaberg. The European route E39 highway runs along the west side of the village. The entrance to the Byfjord Tunnel lies at the north end of the village. Grødem Church is located in the village.

Stavanger Prison (Norwegian: Stavanger fengsel) is a prison, located in Stavanger, Norway The prison was opened in its present form in 2001. The building was then renovated and replaced the former Stavanger Prison which was completed in 1963. Stavanger Prison a capacity of 71 in 4 compartments for all categories of prisoners. The inmates are still in police custody or serving sentences. The prison has separate departments for women and a special department to solve problems with drugs and alcohol. The prison belongs to the Southwestern Region of the Norwegian Correctional Services.

Vardeneset Church (Norwegian: Vardeneset kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in the southern part of the large Stavanger Municipality in Rogaland county, Norway. It is located in the Ytre Tasta neighborhood in the borough of Tasta in the northern part of the city of Stavanger. It is the church for the Vardeneset parish which is part of the Ytre Stavanger prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Stavanger. The expanded clay aggregate church was built in a rectangular design in 18 using designs by the architect Steinar Skartveit. The church seats about 450 people.The church was consecrated on 2 January 2000 by the Bishop Ernst Oddvar Baasland.
