The Middletown Rural Historic District encompasses an area that was once the town center of Grafton, Vermont. Located northwest of Grafton Village along Middletown Road and adjacent roads, it includes nine well-preserved 19th-century properties, as well as the town's first cemetery and animal pound. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

William C. Putnam State Forest covers 146 acres (0.59 km2) in Grafton in Windham County, Vermont. The forest is managed by the Vermont Department of Forests, Parks, and Recreation. Activities in the forest include hiking, snowshoeing and hunting.

The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2015.

Grafton is the central village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Grafton, Windham County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 49, compared to 645 in the entire town. The CDP is in northern Windham County, southeast of the center of Grafton. It sits in the valley of the Saxtons River, where it is joined by its South Branch. The Saxtons is an east-flowing tributary of the Connecticut River. Vermont Route 121 serves as Grafton's Main Street. It leads southeast 11 miles (18 km) to Bellows Falls on the Connecticut River and northwest 14 miles (23 km) to Londonderry. Vermont Route 35 (Chester Hill Road) runs north out of Grafton, leading 7 miles (11 km) to Chester. Route 35 joins Route 121 east out of Grafton but later turns south and leads a total of 14 miles (23 km) to Townshend.

The Grafton Post Office is a historic former post office building at 205 Main Street in Grafton, Vermont. Built in 1855 in the Greek Revival style, it was the town's post office for over 100 years, and served for a time thereafter as the local historical society museum. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. It is still owned by the historical society, but leased for commercial retail purposes.

The Grafton Public Library is a 19th-century library located in Grafton, Vermont in the historic Butterfield House. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2012.

The Grafton District Schoolhouse No. 2, also known locally as the Old Fire Station, is a historic civic building at 217 Main Street in Grafton, Vermont. Built about 1835, it has served as a school, fire station, Masonic hall, tin shop, undertaker's shop, and as the clubhouse of a local brass band. Despite some alteration, it is a well-preserved example of a mid-19th century Greek Revival schoolhouse. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005.

Milldean and the Alexander-Davis House, also known as Eaglebrook and the Eagle Hotel, are a pair of historic houses on Main Street in the village center of Grafton, Vermont. Built c. 1826 and c. 1831, the two houses are statewide rare examples of a transitional Federal-Greek Revival style executed in brick. They are also historically significant for their association with Grafton's textile trade, which was economically important in the mid-19th century. The houses were listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.
