Grafton is the central village and a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Grafton, Windham County, Vermont, United States. As of the 2020 census, it had a population of 49, compared to 645 in the entire town. The CDP is in northern Windham County, southeast of the center of Grafton. It sits in the valley of the Saxtons River, where it is joined by its South Branch. The Saxtons is an east-flowing tributary of the Connecticut River. Vermont Route 121 serves as Grafton's Main Street. It leads southeast 11 miles (18 km) to Bellows Falls on the Connecticut River and northwest 14 miles (23 km) to Londonderry. Vermont Route 35 (Chester Hill Road) runs north out of Grafton, leading 7 miles (11 km) to Chester. Route 35 joins Route 121 east out of Grafton but later turns south and leads a total of 14 miles (23 km) to Townshend.

The Grafton Village Historic District encompasses the historic village center of the town of Grafton, Vermont. The village was developed in the early-to-mid 19th century, and has retained the character of that period better than many small communities in the state. Built in 1855 in the Greek Revival style, it was the town's post office for over 100 years, and served for a time thereafter as the local historical society museum. The Kidder Covered Bridge carries Kidder Hill Road across the South Branch Saxtons River, just south of the village center of Grafton, Vermont. The bridge was built about 1870, and is Grafton's last surviving 19th-century covered bridge. It is the shortest historic covered bridge in Windham County, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The Grafton Congregational Church, known locally as The Brick Church, is a historic church on Main Street in Grafton, Vermont. Built in 1833, it is a fine local example of vernacular Greek Revival and Gothic Revival religious architecture. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979. Grafton's current Congregationalist (United Church of Christ) congregation now meets primarily in the "White Church" at 55 Main Street.

The Mechanicsville Historic District encompasses a cluster of residential properties that are all that remain of one of the early industrial areas of Grafton, Vermont. Located a short way east of Grafton Village on Vermont Route 121, it includes ten well-preserved 19th-century properties, some located on properties where early mills once stood. The district was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2010.
