Köln-Lövenich is a railway station situated at Lövenich, Cologne in western Germany on the Cologne–Aachen railway. It is classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station.Lövenich station was opened on 2 July 1840 with the second phase of construction of the Cologne–Aachen railway at line-km 9.0 and was the western terminus of the line for about a year. In 2002, an S-Bahn stop was built west of the station at 9.7 km. At the same time, the former Lövenich station was dismantled and is now used only for passing loops. The S-Bahn stop has an island platform between the S-Bahn tracks. The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S13 between Sindorf or Düren and Troisdorf and line S19 between Düren and Hennef (Sieg), Blankenberg (Sieg), Herchen or Au (Sieg). Together these lines provide a service every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on the weekend. During the peak, line S12 also provides services every 20 minutes between Horrem and Hennef (Sieg).

Köln-Müngersdorf/Technologiepark is a railway station situated at Müngersdorf, Cologne in western Germany. The station was opened on 15 December 2002 on a section of the Cologne–Aachen railway that was opened by the Rhenish Railway Company between Cologne and Müngersdorf on 2 August 1839. The station has a partially covered island platform, which is connected by two sets of stairs and a lift to the street below, on which there is a Kölner Verkehrsbetriebe (Cologne Transport) bus stop.The station is served by Rhine-Ruhr S-Bahn line S13 between Sindorf or Düren and Troisdorf and line S19 between Düren and Hennef (Sieg), Blankenberg (Sieg), Herchen or Au (Sieg). Together these lines provide a service every 20 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on the weekend. The station is located at the junction of Aachener Straße and the Cologne Belt (Gürtel). The station has four separate side platforms, each on one of the four median strips facing the junction.

Rochusplatz is an underground station on the Cologne Stadtbahn lines 3 and 4 in Cologne. The station is located on Venloer Straße at its intersection with Äußere Kanalstraße in the district of Ehrenfeld. The station was opened in 1992 and consists of a mezzanine and one island platform with two rail tracks. The station was renamed on 15 December 2019 from Äußere Kanalstraße to Rochusplatz.

The Helios AG für elektrisches Licht und Telegraphenanlagenbau was a German electrical engineering company. Founded in 1882, it existed until its liquidation in 1930. The company was based in the town of Ehrenfeld, which was incorporated into Cologne in 1888. The company is presently best known for the Heliosturm, a lighthouse on the former site of the factory that was constructed for test and research purposes. Today, the area is used by gastronomy and craft businesses.

Ehrenfeld (German: Köln-Ehrenfeld [kœln ˈʔeːʁənfɛlt]; Kölsch: Ihrefäld [ˈi²ʁəfɛlt]) is a borough (Stadtbezirk) of the City of Cologne in Germany. It includes the seven quarters Bickendorf, Bocklemünd, Mengenich, Ehrenfeld, Neuehrenfeld, Ossendorf and Vogelsang. It has about 109,500 inhabitants (as of December 2020) and covers an area of 23.98 square kilometres. The district borders with the Cologne districts of Chorweiler to the North, Nippes and Innenstadt to the East and Lindenthal to the South-West. Ehrenfeld is characterized by lively and popular residential areas and shopping streets, the media center "Coloneum" with the most modern production and movie studios and a large and vivacious free cultural scene with many artists' studios, theatres and clubs. The landmark of Ehrenfeld is the Helios-lighthouse and the old factory of the perfume manufacturer 4711.

Lindenthal (German: Köln-Lindenthal [ˈkœln ˈlɪndn̩ˌtaːl], Kölsch: Lendethal [ˈlendəˌtaːl]) is a borough of the City of Cologne in Germany. It includes the quarters Braunsfeld, Junkersdorf, Klettenberg, Lindenthal, Lövenich, Müngersdorf, Sülz, Weiden and Widdersdorf. It has about 153,000 inhabitants (as of December 2019) and covers an area of 41.8 square kilometers. Many parts of Lindenthal are dominated by academic and research campuses, primarily linked to the University of Cologne and the German Sport University. The later has a campus at Sportpark Müngersdorf, next to RheinEnergieStadion and the European College of Sport Science. The Cologne University Hospital has a vast campus around the Kerpener Straße. Other institutions include the Max Planck Institutes for Biology of Ageing and Plant Breeding Research. Cologne's Melaten-Friedhof is located on Aachener Straße.
