Blue Valley Academy is located on 148th street, next to Blue Valley USD 229 school district headquarters. It is an alternative education school that attempts to give an equal quality education in a smaller environment. Many of the other Blue Valley High Schools act as "parent" schools and many Blue Valley Academy students return to them to take certain electives not offered at the Academy. The building is also home to many Blue Valley recreation games on its football field and gym. The building was originally home to Blue Valley Middle School before it moved to its current location in 1999.

The Blue Valley Sports Complex (or the District Athletic Complex, commonly known as the DAC) is a baseball, football, swimming and soccer complex located in Overland Park, Kansas. The complex is regularly home to the local high schools, Blue Valley North High School, Blue Valley Northwest High School, and Blue Valley West High School, and also held various games for Sporting Kansas City in 2001, 2004, 2006, and 2011.

The Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead is a family attraction in Overland Park, Kansas. The facility shows farm animals, birds of prey, show gardens, butterfly gardens, a nature trail, a Kanza Native American display, and a full-scale one-room schoolhouse. The facility also provides playgrounds, a fishing pond, horse-drawn wagon rides, and pony rides.The facility began as a petting zoo in 1978 and was renamed in 1985 to honor Deanna Rose, an Overland Park police officer. Rose was the first Overland Park police officer killed in the line of duty.In 2014, the site began hosting an elaborate Christmas light display around the Christmas Holiday Season.

The United Methodist Saint Paul School of Theology moved its facilities from Kansas City, Missouri, to the Church of the Resurrection in fall of 2013. The Church of the Resurrection’s founding and senior pastor is Reverend Adam Hamilton. Hamilton started the congregation in 1990. Hamilton is committed to the renewal of the mainline church, especially the United Methodist Church. In 2012 he was invited by the White House to deliver the message at the National Prayer Service as a part of President Obama’s second inauguration.
