Chikhale is a village in Panvel Taluk of Raigad district in Maharashtra state in India. It is located at a distance of 6.2 km from its Taluk headquarters Panvel and 33 km distance from Mumbai City. Chikhale has a railway station on the Panvel-Karjat route of the Mumbai Suburban Railway in Navi Mumbai, India with the same name. Panvel is the previous station and Mohape is the next station. It is followed by Chowk Railway Station and then Karjat.

Panvel (Marathi pronunciation: [pənʋeːl]) is a city and taluka in Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is highly populated due to its closeness to Mumbai. Panvel is also governed for development purpose by the body of Mumbai Metropolitan Region. Panvel Municipal Corporation is the first Municipal Corporation in Raigad and the 27th Municipal corporation of Maharashtra State.

New Panvel is a residential, commercial and educational node of Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra and comes under the Konkan division. New Panvel was developed on marshy land and was previously a Mango cultivated area. New Panvel is divided into two parts: New Panvel (E), on the eastern side of Panvel railway station and Khanda Colony or New Panvel (W) on the western side of it. Both parts of New Panvel are connected by a flyover bridge also known as Khanda Colony Flyover. New Panvel (W) is also popularly called Khanda Colony by the local villagers, as the city is adjacent to two small villages Dhakta Khanda and Motha Khanda (Greater Khanda). Khanda and Khandeshwar Railway stations derive their names from a very old Shiva Temple known as Khandeshwar Mahadev along the sides of the lake of Khandeshwar. The locals are host the Mahashivratri festival on the banks of the Khandeshwar lake every year. Takka Naka is a new node of New Panvel being developed by CIDCO. Major commercial activities are present in sectors 15 to 19 just outside the railway station on the eastern side. K Mall is a shopping center in New Panvel's, Takka Naka node while Orion Mall along the Mumbai-Pune highway beside the Panvel Bus depot is emerging as a shopping destination in town.The planned Navi Mumbai International Airport is expected to affect real estate prices in the surrounding area of New Panvel which are under development. Sector 17 of New Panvel West bound by JNPT bypass and NH-4 alongside Motha Khanda is located near the railway station. A few residential buildings in New Panvel West come under the "A Type" CIDCO settlements, offer budget housing for lower income groups.

Sainagar is a large suburb with more than 5% of the population of the city of Panvel where more than 300,000 people live. It is close to the proposed Navi Mumbai International Airport, there is also an international exhibition center and an engineering college. Several developments are currently taking place and Panvel is located at 18.98° N 73.1° E[1]. It has an average elevation of 28 metres (91 feet). It is near to the Gadhi river.

Khandeshwar railway station caters to New Panvel West but is built away from the city, while it is strategically near to Kamothe. The station derives its name from the Khandeshwar Mahadev Mandir and Khandeshwar Lake and Park. As Khandeshwar Railway station adjoins the nearer Kamothe node the people from Kamothe prefer Khandeshwar station over Manasarowar railway station which is cornered in the Jui pVillage.

Kamothe is a node of Navi Mumbai which is developed and maintained by CIDCO. Kamothe is located on the Sion Panvel Highway. It is the third node after Panvel and Kalamboli towards Mumbai.

Kalamboli is one of the nodes of Navi Mumbai. It is a transportation hub, being situated at the junction of the Sion-Panvel Highway, NH 48, Panvel By-Pass, NH 66 and Mumbai-Pune Expressway and is among the biggest iron and steel delivery centers in India. The township, like the rest of Navi Mumbai, is divided into sectors, which are further divided into plots. The residential and commercial areas of Kalamboli are divided by the NH 4 highway. Roadpali, a region to the north of Kalamboli, is developing at a faster rate than the latter with many residential projects coming up due to availability of land. Roadpali is located along the Taloja Link Road. Kalamboli also houses the Navi Mumbai Police Headquarters. CIDCO is the nodal administrative body for Kalamboli node. Kalamboli also has a Sewage Water Treatment Plant owned by CIDCO. Kalamboli is now governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC). The terminal of Mumbai-Pune Expressway is at Kalamboli. It also has Navi Mumbai's largest marble market alongside the Sion Panvel Highway.
