Hayward was an electoral district of the House of Assembly in the Australian state of South Australia from 1985 to 1993.Hayward was abolished in a boundary redistribution in 1993.

Lonsdale is an industrial suburb south of Adelaide, South Australia, within the City of Onkaparinga. Lonsdale was farmed from shortly after European settlement until the 1950s, when the South Australian Housing Trust acquired much of the land for industrial use. Mobil's Port Stanvac Refinery and Chrysler's engine foundry were followed by many other manufacturing and service industries. Subsequent suburban development of surrounding areas has driven demand for a wide range of service-oriented businesses in the area. Port Stanvac Refinery and the Mitsubishi (formerly Chrysler) engine plant closed in 2004, with both sites remaining unused as of 2007. The South Australian Government announced plans to build a seawater desalination plant at the site in 2007, to provide fresh water for Adelaide. The Adelaide Desalination Plant opened in 2013.

Port Stanvac Power Station is a diesel-powered electricity generator in South Australia in Lonsdale, an industrial southern suburb of Adelaide. It is owned by Snowy Hydro since 2014. It consists of 36 diesel engines each generating 1.6MW for a total of 58MW of electricity to meet peak demands in the National Electricity Market.The power station was designed by Petro Min Engineers and built by Cummins Power Generation under contract from Infratil. The site had previously been used by the Lonsdale Power Station which was moved to a new site next door in 2011. Snowy Hydro bought assets from Infratil in 2014. These included Lumo Energy, Direct Connect and three diesel peaking generators for a total of 136 MW. The power stations were the Angaston Power Station along with Lonsdale and Port Stanvac.

It was moved along the road to its present site in 2011. Snowy Hydro bought assets from Infratil in 2014. These included Lumo Energy, Direct Connect and three diesel peaking generators for a total of 136 MW. The other two were Angaston Power Station and Port Stanvac Power Station.It achieves the low emissions mandated by the Environment Protection Agency through selective catalytic reduction technology, matching standards set for gas turbines.

Christie Downs is a suburb in southern Metropolitan Adelaide within the city of Onkaparinga, South Australia. It has a unique postcode of 5164, and is adjacent to the suburbs of Christies Beach to the west, Noarlunga Centre to the south, Morphett Vale to the east and Lonsdale to the north. The area was named after Lambert Christie, who was one of the original European settlers in the area. The area continued to be mainly farming land until the late 1950s when large portions were purchased by the South Australian Housing Trust. Since then the suburb has steadily grown to have almost 2500 households. The suburb is served by Christie Downs railway station on the Seaford railway line.

Morphett Vale is a southern suburb of Adelaide, South Australia in the City of Onkaparinga. It is the largest suburb in the state, with a population of more than 23,000 and an area of 12.76 km2, followed by Paralowie with nearly 10,000 fewer residents. There are approximately 1,000 businesses in Morphett Vale. The suburb is bordered by (clockwise from north) Sheriffs/Pimpala Road, Panalatinga Road, Doctors/Beach Road, and the Southern Expressway.

Pimpala is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. It was a ground level stopping place during the passenger transport days of this line, and a 1965 reference mentioned that it was no longer used at that date. The stop is now completely disused, the entire Willunga railway line having been dismantled in 1972, and now replaced by the Coast to Vines Rail Trail. The Pimpala station was on the north side of Pimpala Road where the trail crosses that road in Old Reynella.

Morphett Vale is a closed railway station in Adelaide, South Australia. A station master was appointed in 1915 but it was an unattended crossing station since 1957. Facilities were available for the handling of casks of wine, as this area was mainly covered in vineyards. It is now disused, the entire Willunga railway line having been dismantled in 1972 and now replaced by the Coast to Vines Rail Trail.
