Istana Negara (English: State Palace, Dutch: Paleis te Rijswijk) is one of the six presidential palaces of Indonesia. It is located on Veteran Street in Central Jakarta, with Merdeka Palace located south. It is part of the presidential palace compound which has a total area of 68,000 m², along with three other buildings: Bina Graha that was formerly used as the President's Office, Wisma Negara in the western side which is used as state guest house, and the office for the Ministry of State Secretariat of Indonesia. Istana Negara faces north towards aforementioned street, while the Merdeka Palace faces Merdeka Square and the National Monument (Monas).

Hotel der Nederlanden (also Hotel Dharma Nirmala during its last 10 years) was a historic hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia. Hotel der Nederlanden was one of the three grand hotels in Batavia during the last period of the colonial rule, the other being Hotel des Indes and the Grand Hotel Java. The hotel had operated for more than a century, after which it was demolished in 1969 and was replaced with the Bina Graha presidential office.

The Harmony Society (Dutch: Societeit de Harmonie) was an elite social club in Batavia, Dutch East Indies. It was the oldest clubhouse in Asia when it was demolished. The construction of the group's building included the former bricks of the wall of Old Batavia. It was demolished for road widening and parking area in 1985. Activities at the club included cards and billiards. Indigenous people were excluded from the club.J.C. Schultze was the building's architect and also designed the Jakarta Art Building (Batavia Schouwburg). The society building was constructed to convince Europeans to move from the old city centre (now Kota, Jakarta) to the more southerly area of Weltevreden. The style of the building is Neoclassical. The area around it has been referred to as ‘Harmoni’ and its destruction prompted increased awareness of Indonesia's colonial heritage.The club in Central Jakarta was located at the intersection of Jalan Veteran and Jalan Majapahit (called Rijswijk and Rijswijkstraat respectively during the Dutch colonial era). The first societeit club built in Batavia was at Buiten Nieuwpoorstraat (now Jalan Pintu Besar Selatan) in West Jakarta. In 1810, Governor General Herman Willem Daendels dispatched Major Schultze, designer of Daendels Palace at Waterlooplein, to design the large clubhouse. He wanted it to compete and undermine the influence of the Freemasons and it was part of his plan to move the administrative center of Batavia to the southern district of Weltevreden. The building was budgeted to cost 105,000 rijksdaalders and Batavia in the Nineteenth Century Photographs. After the British attacked Batavia in Aug 1811, construction was overseen by the new British Lieutenant-Governor of Java Thomas Stamford Raffles with a construction cost of 360,000 rijksdaalders. Abdul Hamied was the building's contractor. Construction was completed in late 1814 and the Harmonie club opened on January 18, 1815, to coincide with the official birthday of Queen Charlotte, wife of the then British King George III. Raffles included collections from the museum and library of the Batavian Society of Arts and Science in the building's annex. G. Windsor Earl visited. A Dutch cultural fair (Kermis) was held at the club and the Harmonie hosted a party for the 250th anniversary of the city of Batavia May 29, 1869. The clubhouse's site is now a park and parking lot of the State Secretariat office.

The Merdeka Palace (Indonesian: Istana Merdeka; also known in Indonesian as Istana Gambir and during the Dutch colonial times as Paleis te Koningsplein), is one of six presidential palaces in Indonesia. It is located on the north side of the Merdeka Square in Central Jakarta, Indonesia and is used as the official residence of the president of the Republic of Indonesia. The palace was a residence for the governor-general of the Dutch East Indies during the colonial era. In 1949, the palace was renamed Merdeka Palace, "(ke)merdeka(an)" meaning "freedom" or "independence". The Merdeka Palace is part of the 6.8 ha (17 acres) Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex, which also includes the Negara Palace, Wisma Negara (state guest house), Sekretariat Negara (State Secretariat), and the Bina Graha building. It is the center of the Indonesian executive authority.

Hotel des Indes was one of the oldest and most prestigious hotels in Asia. Located in Batavia, Dutch East Indies, the hotel had accommodated countless famous patrons throughout its existence from 1829 to 1971. Before being named Hotel des Indes, a name suggested by the writer Multatuli, it was named "Hotel de Provence" by its first French owner, and for a short spell went by the name "Hotel Rotterdam". After Indonesian independence it was renamed "Hotel Duta Indonesia", until it was demolished to make way for a shopping mall.

Soe Hok Gie (17 December 1942 – 16 December 1969) was a Chinese Indonesian activist who opposed the successive dictatorships of Presidents Sukarno and Suharto.

Museum Taman Prasasti (Indonesian for Museum of Memorial Stone Park or Inscription Museum) is a museum located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The museum was formerly a cemetery, built by the Dutch colonial government in 1795 as a final resting place for noble Dutchmen. Several important person that was buried in the cemetery area are Olivia Mariamne Raffles – the first wife of British governor general Thomas Stamford Raffles - and Indonesian youth activist Soe Hok Gie. The cemetery area is the oldest of its kind in Jakarta and may have been the oldest modern cemetery in the world by comparison with the Fort Canning Park (1926) in Singapore, Gore Hill cemetery (1868) in Sydney, Père Lachaise Cemetery (1803) in Paris, and Mount Auburn Cemetery (1831) in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Prince Diponegoro Monument is a bronze equestrian statue of the Javanese Prince Diponegoro boldly riding a horse. The statue is located at Merdeka Square, Jakarta, in the northern part of the park. The statue symbolizes Diponegoro's leadership of his people against the Dutch colonial rulers during the Java War of 1825-1830. The statue was designed by an Italian sculptor Vittorio Di Colbertaldo. It was donated to Indonesia in 1965 by Dr. Mario Pitto, a wealthy Italian businessman who had served as the Italian consul-general to Indonesia in the early 1960s.

The Military Ordinariate of Indonesia is a military ordinariate of the Roman Catholic Church. Immediately subject to the Holy See, it provides pastoral care to Roman Catholics serving in the Indonesian National Armed Forces and Indonesian National Police and their families.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Jakarta (Latin: Giakartana) is a Metropolitan Latin archdiocese on Java, in Indonesia. Its cathedral episcopal see is the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish, in the national capital Jakarta.

Hotel Sriwijaya is a three-stars hotel located in Jakarta, Indonesia. The building of Hotel Sriwijaya has always been a hotel for over 125 years. Hotel Sriwijaya is the oldest surviving hotel building in Jakarta.

The Indonesia Game Rating System (IGRS) is a video game content rating system founded by the Indonesian Ministry of Communication and Informatics in 2016. There are 5 classifications of ratings based on the game content, which includes the use of alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, violence, blood, language, sexual content, etc. IGRS generally assigns age ratings for games that are developed and published in Indonesia, but they also provide age ratings for imported games that are verified as official Indonesian products. Starting as of late 2019, only some physical PlayStation titles are officially verified for sale in Indonesia, such as the PlayStation 4 versions of Death Stranding and Minecraft. In 2024, Ministry of Communications and Informatics revised the IGRS in Ministerial Regulation MCI 2/2024 by enforcing the requirement that every video game publisher must have an Indonesian representative office to directly submit their game to the MCI for assessment by the IGRS. Failure to do so would require in sanctions such as having the game being banned from access in Indonesia. This regulation will be enforced in practise starting in January 2026, after the Indonesian government overhauls its application system, and relaunches the official IGRS website on October 11, 2025.
