Nara Prefectural Museum of Folklore

Jikō-in (慈光院) is a Buddhist temple located in the Koizumi-chō neighborhood of the city of Yamatokōriyama, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It belongs to the Daitokuji-branch of the Rinzai school of Japanese Zen and its honzon is a statue of Shaka Nyorai. The sangō of the temple is Entsuzan (圓通山). The Jikō-in garden has been designated Place of Scenic Beauty and National Historic Site since 1934.

Ryōsen-ji (霊山寺) is a Buddhist temple in Nara, Japan. Founded in the eighth century, the Hondō is a National Treasure and a number of other buildings and temple treasures have been designated Important Cultural Properties.

The siege of Kōriyama Castle was fought in the 1544. The Iriki were vassals of the Shimazu clan and Iriki-In Shigetomo was the brother-in-law of Shimazu Takahisa. However relations began to sour when rumors spread that Shigetomo was plotting a rebellion against Takahisa. In 1544 Shigetomo died and shortly after Takahisa attacked and captured his castle of Kōriyama, ending any menace the Iriki-in could pose to his rule. Iriki-in Shigetsugu succeeded Shigetomo and the relations were later restored between both sides.

Kōriyama Castle (郡山城, Kōriyama-jō) is a flatlands-style Japanese castle located in the city of Yamatokōriyama, Nara Prefecture, Japan. Its ruins have been protected as a National Historic Site since 2023. It is No.194 on the list "Continued 100 Fine Castles of Japan".

Temples in the park include Ryōsen-ji, Yata-dera (矢田寺), Tōmyō-ji (東明寺), and Matsuo-dera (松尾寺).

Yakushi-ji (薬師寺) is one of the most famous imperial and ancient Buddhist temples in Japan, and was once one of the Seven Great Temples of Nanto, located in Nara. The temple is the headquarters of the Hossō school of Japanese Buddhism. Yakushi-ji is one of the sites that are collectively inscribed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site under the name of "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara." The temple's main object of veneration, Yakushi Nyorai, also known as "The Medicine Buddha", was one of the first Buddhist Deities to arrive in Japan from China in 680, and gives the temple its name.

Tōshōdai-ji (唐招提寺) is a Buddhist temple of the Risshū sect in the city of Nara, in Nara Prefecture, Japan. The Classic Golden Hall, also known as the kondō, has a single story, hipped tiled roof with a seven bay wide facade. It is considered the archetype of "classical style". It was founded in 759 by the Tang dynasty Chinese monk Jianzhen during the Nara period. Jianzhen was hired by the newly empowered clans to travel in search of funding from private aristocrats as well. Tōshōdai-ji is one of the places in Nara that UNESCO has designated as World Heritage Site "Historic Monuments of Ancient Nara". A reflection written by Yan Wenjing on the hope for friendly Sino-Japanese relations describing the author's discovery of lotus flowers imported from China which had been planted around the portrait of Jianzhen in the Tōshōdai-ji is included as one of the oral assessment passages on the Putonghua Proficiency Test.
