Hertingfordbury railway station

Hertingfordbury is a small village in Hertfordshire, England, close to the county town of Hertford. It was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. Hertingfordbury is also the name of a neighbouring civil parish, which does not contain the village. Hertingfordbury Village is located within the Castle ward of local government Hertford Town Council. The population of the civil parish as of the 2021 census was 689.

Willowmead is a 1.5-hectare (3.7-acre) nature reserve in north Hertford. It is managed by the Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust.The site is on the bank of the River Mimram, and it is wet woodland, mainly of alder trees which are often mature. Water voles and otters have been seen in the river. Water birds include kingfishers, mallards and mandarin ducks. There are breeding birds in the woodland, such as lesser spotted woodpeckers and spotted flycatcher.There is access from the road called Becketts.

The Sele School is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Hertford, Hertfordshire, in the south east of England. The school is situated adjacent to the Sele Farm estate, a major housing area containing a mixture of private and housing association properties. The school serves the Hertford area, with pupils coming from local villages as well as the town. The Sele School is well known for its inclusive approach and success with students from both ends of the ability spectrum. It is located in the relatively dark countryside of Bayfordbury, Hertfordshire, 6 miles from the main university campus in Hatfield. The first telescope was built in 1969, and since then has been used as a teaching observatory for undergraduate students, staff and student research as well as for public outreach activities.
