After a four-year renovation in 2014, Unity is now the only Monroe County hospital to feature all private patient rooms and free parking. The student–teacher ratio is 13:1 (elementary), 13:1 (middle-high school). Christopher Dailey was selected by the Board of Education to serve as Superintendent of Schools beginning in July 2019. Greece Memorial Hall, also known as Greece Town Hall, was a historic town hall building located at Greece in Monroe County, New York. It consisted of a two-story, side-gabled main building constructed in 1919; two 1+1⁄2-story flanking wings built in 1936, and a two-part addition constructed in 1955. The main building featured a 1+1⁄2-story protruding portico with a stone arch flanked by two open oculi and supported by two stone Tuscan columns. The hall memorialized the 288 young men from Greece who served in World War I, thirteen of whom died in battle.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1998 and demolished in 1999.

The CDP is in central Monroe County, in the eastern part of the town of Gates. It is bordered to the east by the city of Rochester and to the north by the North Gates CDP. Interstate 490 passes through the center of the Gates CDP and intersects Interstate 390 in the eastern part of the CDP. New York State Route 33 (Buffalo Road) forms the southern edge of the community, and State Route 31 (Lyell Avenue) forms part of the northern edge. Downtown Rochester is 6 miles (10 km) to the east. The hamlet of Gates Center occupies the southern half of the CDP (south of I-490), and Gates Chili High School is in the western part of the CDP.

Spencerport High School is the only high school in the Spencerport Central School District, located at 2707 Spencerport Road, in Spencerport, New York, United States. Led by Principal Sean McCabe, the school has over 1200 students and staff and offers a wide variety of courses from Photography to Sports and Entertainment Marketing.The school is two stories high and has two gymnasiums, two cafeterias, and a pool. The new larger eight-lane pool with a diving area was built in 2008, and is currently finished. A weight room with brand new equipment and an extra practice room used for cheerleading, wrestling, and baseball is also available. In 2003 the school built an auditorium that seats one thousand people, and hosts multiple school and community events. Also recently built was an additional hallway for health, second language, technology, and the academy classes.
