Strašnická (Prague Metro)

The Parish Congregation of the Evangelical Church is in Prague. Its denomination is the Evangelical Church of Czech Brethren Christian denomination.

Trmal Villa or Trmalova Vila is a villa in Prague designed in 1902 by the Czech architect Jan Kotěra in the English Modernist style. The villa has been restored, and is now a museum and cultural centre open to the public and for research. Its architect has been described as the "founder of modern Czech architecture".

Strašnice tram depot (Czech: Vozovna Strašnice) is a tram and trolleybus depot in Strašnice that has been part of the Prague tram network since 1908. The depot was the biggest along with Žižkov tram depot. It was completely reconstructed in the 1920s and 1930s.

Strašnice is a cadastral district in Prague. It became part of Prague on 1 January 1922. It lies mostly in the municipal and administrative district of Prague 10 while a small part is in Prague 3. The district is bordered by Vršovice, Vinohrady, Žižkov, Malešice, Hostivař, Záběhlice and Michle. Only four streets in Strašnice are in Prague 3, while 180 streets of the district are in Prague 10. The area contains an Evangelical cemetery and the Parish Congregation of the Evangelical Church. Strašnice Crematorium is actually situated at the edge of Vinohrady, close to Strašnice.

Prague 10 is both a municipal and administrative district in Prague, Czech Republic with more than 100,000 inhabitants.

Strašnice Crematorium (in Czech: Krematorium Strašnice) is the largest crematory in Europe in terms of area. President Václav Havel was cremated here. The crematorium was involved in the disposal of those who had been executed by the Nazi and Communist regimes including writer Vladislav Vančura, general Josef Mašín, politician Milada Horáková and bishop Gorazd of Prague.

Metropolitan University Prague (Czech: Metropolitní univerzita Praha) is a private university in the Czech Republic founded in 2001 as the University of Public Administration and International Relations. It provides Bachelor, Master and Ph.D. studies as full-time or part-time study. Courses offered include: Anglophone Studies, International Trade, International Relations and European Studies (available in Czech and in English), Industrial Property, Public Administration, Humanities and Asian Studies. Since 2007, the university's International Relations Department has published a semiannual peer-reviewed academic journal entitled the Central European Journal of International and Security Studies.

Evangelical Cemetery is a former cemetery that was used mainly by German Protestants in Prague from 1795 to the end of the Second World War.

Vinohrady Cemetery (Czech: Vinohradský hřbitov) is a cemetery in Prague, Czech Republic. It was founded in 1885 as a cemetery of the city of Královské Vinohrady, which became a part of Prague in 1922 and today is known as the Vinohrady district. It contains the Strašnice Crematorium. Among the most notable people buried at the cemetery are two of the presidents of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic, Václav Havel and Emil Hácha.

The 2011 World Indoor Lacrosse Championship was the third World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, an international box lacrosse tournament organized by the Federation of International Lacrosse every four years. It took place between 21 and 28 May 2011 in Prague, Czech Republic at the 4,900 seat Eden Arena, an Olympic-sized rink. The Canadian team was the defending champion and for the third time defeated the Iroquois Nationals in the finals, 13–6. The United States defeated the host Czech Republic 16–7 in the bronze medal game.

Hagibor (Hebrew: הגיבור / ha-gibor, lit. "a hero") is a locality in the district of Strašnice (and partly Žižkov) in Prague, the capital of the Czech Republic. The former local Jewish Czech sport club ŽSK Hagibor was located here, which gave the name to the area. The district also includes the headquarters of Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty and affiliated broadcasts. There are architectural projects in Hagibor.

Radio Farda (Persian: راديو فردا, lit. 'Radio Tomorrow', Radio Farda) is the Iranian branch of the U.S. government-funded Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty (RFE/RL) external broadcast service for providing "factual, objective and professional journalism" to its audiences. It broadcasts 24 hours a day in the Persian language from its headquarters in the district Hagibor of Prague, Czech Republic.Radio Farda first aired December 2002. Radio Farda broadcasts news on topics like political, cultural, social, and art with an emphasis on Iran. The name "Farda" means "tomorrow" in Persian. Radio Farda's broadcasts have been continually blocked by Iranian authorities over the history of its programming.Launched in December 2002 as the successor to RFE/RL's Persian Service with the goal of providing "objective and accurate news and information to counter state censorship and ideology-based media coverage". Radio Farda's new website was launched in 2006 and receives over 3 million page views every month.
