Squat Milada

The VR-1 training reactor is a zero power pool-type light water reactor. It is located at the Czech Technical University in Prague. Its layout enables simple and comfortable access to the core, easy insertion and removal of experimental devices and samples, and simple and safe manipulation with fuel assemblies. The reactor consists of two vessels placed in a shielding made of barytic concrete. The H01 vessel contains the reactor core; the H02 vessel serves for manipulations with fuel assemblies and for temporary storage of the fuel. The core is composed of IRT-4M tubular fuel assemblies with the enrichment in U-235 of almost 20 %. Four-, six-, and eight-tube modifications of the fuel assemblies are available. For neutron moderation as well as for heat removal from the core the light demineralized water is used; it also acts as a neutron reflector and a biological shielding. Due to the low power of the reactor, natural convection is adequate for heat removal from the core. The reactor is operated under the atmospheric pressure and the temperature of ca. 20 °C. The reactor control is provided by 5-7 control rods of UR-70 type; their number depends on the particular core configuration. Detectors for power measurement, as well as experimental samples could be inserted in dry vertical channels. Moreover, radial and tangential channels are available.

Praha-Holešovice railway station (Czech: Nádraží Praha-Holešovice) is located in Holešovice, a northern district of Prague, capital city of the Czech Republic. Opened in 1985, the station was originally used as a terminus for international fast trains coming from the east. Since the completion of the Nové Spojení ("new connection") in 2010, however, these trains terminate at the more central hub, Praha hlavní nádraží. Nevertheless, international trains from hlavní nádraží running north to Dresden and Berlin, as well as northwest-bound inter-regional trains still call here. The station is adjacent to Prague Metro's Nádraží Holešovice station on line C and also to stops of the same name on lines 6, 12, and 17 of the city's tramway system, as well as a bus station.

Nádraží Holešovice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈnaːdraʒiː ˈɦolɛʃovɪtsɛ]) is a Prague Metro station on Line C, serving the Holešovice mainline railway station. The station was formerly known as Fučíkova, after journalist Julius Fučík. The station was opened on 3 November 1984 as the northern terminus of the extension from Sokolovská (later renamed Florenc), a status it retained until 26 June 2004 when the line was extended to Ládví station.The station is 7 metres (23 ft) below ground level, and contains two tracks on opposite sides of the station platform. The station has two exits - the southern exit leads to tram stops and a bus station, the northern exit leads to the mainline and suburban railway station.

The Troja Bridge (2014) (Czech: Trojský most) is a bowstring arch bridge in Prague that crosses the Vltava river. It opened to traffic in October 2014. The bridge is 262 metres (860 ft) long. It was designed by Mott MacDonald and Koucky Architects, and was constructed by Metrostav. It connects the districts of Troja and Holešovice. The bridge is noted for slender arch and low height-to-span ratio.

Kobylisy (Czech pronunciation: [ˈkobɪlɪsɪ]) is a Prague Metro station on Line C, located in the district of Kobylisy. The station was opened on 26 June 2004 as part of the extension of Line C from Nádraží Holešovice to Ládví.

Stadion Lokomotiva Praha (formerly known as Stadion na Plynárně) is a stadium in Holešovice, Prague, Czech Republic, opened in 1953. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of Loko Vltavín. The ground hosted matches in the 2013–14 Czech National Football League.

Tipsport Arena is a multi-purpose indoor arena in Prague, Czech Republic, whose naming rights are currently leased to Czech betting company Tipsport. The arena, located on the fairgrounds in Bubeneč in the neighbourhood of Holešovice, opened in 1962 as Sportovní hala and has a capacity of 13,150 for ice hockey games. Until 2015, it was the home arena of Czech Extraliga team HC Sparta Praha and between 2012 and 2014 KHL's team HC Lev Praha.

Praha-Bubny is a railway station located in Prague 7 in the Holešovice cadastral area. Although today it is only served by local trains and with limited passenger facilities, it is one of the largest stations in Prague by area, with 20 tracks and 6 platforms. It is located on track 120, leading from Prague to Kladno. On the northern edge of the station yard, a small halt named Praha-Holešovice zastávka serves trains on track 091 from Prague to Kralupy nad Vltavou. The station is not served directly by any trams or buses, but is 5 minutes walking distance from the tram system and 10 minutes from Vltavská metro station. It is also located a short distance south from the more mainline Praha-Holešovice station.

Kobylisy is a district in the north of Prague, located in Prague 8. The eastern part of the district is home to a large panel housing estate with over 10,000 residents. The area is served by Kobylisy and Ládví stations on the Prague Metro, both of which opened in 2004.

The Lapidarium is a lapidarium and a part of the National Museum in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the largest permanent exhibition of historical collections of stone sculpture, tombs and architectonical fragments originating from Bohemia, mostly from Prague.

Domovina (in Czech: Homeland) is a modernist building in Prague 7-Holešovice. It was built between 1919 and 1922 to house a co-operative of railway workers and conductors. The building was designed by Otto V. Máca a Karel Roštík and is listed as a cultural monument of the Czech Republic.On 18 to 23 February 1929, a congress of the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia took place in the Domovina hall. Klement Gottwald was elected the chairman of the party. On the facade, there is a plaque commemorating this event.
