Nathan Hale High School is a public high school in Seattle, Washington, United States, operated by Seattle Public Schools. It was a member of the Coalition of Essential Schools and uses a project-based learning curriculum.

Seattle Waldorf School is a private, Waldorf school serving grades preschool through 12 with an enrollment of 300 students. It was founded in 1980 and absorbed Hazel Wolf High School in 2007. The high school grades are located at Magnuson Park in Seattle's Sand Point neighborhood; two of the kindergarten classes are held in Wallingford; and the other kindergarten class, preschool, grades 1–8, and the administration are located in Meadowbrook.Seattle Waldorf School is a Candidate Member School of the Pacific Northwest Association of Independent Schools (PNAIS) and a Member School of the Association of Waldorf Schools of North America (AWSNA).

Washington's 46th legislative district is one of forty-nine districts in Washington state for representation in the state legislature. The district's legislators are state senator David Frockt and state representatives Gerry Pollet (position 1) and Javier Valdez (position 2), all Democrats.

Victory Heights is a neighborhood in the Lake City district of Seattle, Washington. It was named after the Victory Highway, which formed the eastern border of the area. The highway was originally called the Gerhart Erickson Road, the namesake of which was Gerhart Erickson, who sponsored the Good Roads legislation in 1903. The road was then renamed Bothell Road, changed to Victory Highway in 1924, before returning to Bothell Road; it is now called Lake City Way NE. The neighborhood was annexed to the city of Seattle in 1954.

Lake City is the northeast region of Seattle, centered along Lake City Way NE (SR-522), 7–8 miles (11–13 km) northeast of Downtown Seattle. A broader definition of the Lake City area includes all the land between 15th Avenue NE and Lake Washington, and between NE 95th and 98th streets to the Seattle city limits at NE 145th Street. Lake City encompasses much of the Thornton Creek watershed, the focus of a long restoration campaign by citizens and Seattle Public Utilities staff to enhance the residential environment of Lake City.

Wedgwood is a middle class residential neighborhood of northeast Seattle, Washington with a modest commercial strip. Wedgwood is located about two miles (3.2 km) north, and slightly east, of the University of Washington; it is about six miles (9.7 km) northeast of Downtown. The neighborhood is further typical of Seattle neighborhoods in having more than one name and having different, overlapping, but well-documented definitions of the neighborhood. The misspelling Wedgewood is not uncommon—it is used by at least five businesses and even appears in the unofficial City Clerk's Neighborhood Map Atlas—but the origin and spelling of the name are clear: the neighborhood was named after the English bone china-maker Wedgwood, the favorite of the wife of Albert ("Al") Balch (1903–1976), the developer who named the neighborhood. Balch was also the founder of adjoining View Ridge.

University Prep (known as UPrep, formerly University Preparatory Academy) is a private, co-educational middle and high school in Wedgwood, Seattle, Washington, United States. As of 2020, school review website Niche ranks University Prep as the fifth best private high school, fifth best college prep private high school, and fourteenth best high school for STEM in Washington state. The mascot is the Puma, with a current student paid to wear the suit for sports games, open houses, and other school events.

Cedar Park is a neighborhood in the Lake City district of Seattle, Washington. The name generally refers to the residential neighborhoods east of Lake City adjoining Lake Washington. The "Cedar Park" name comes from the plats that subdivided the land along Lake Washington that had previously belonged to the Puget Mill Company. Although the area was subdivided in the 1920s, development proceeded slowly. Many lots overlooking Lake Washington were occupied by vacation cottages from the 1920s to World War II. After 1945, the area developed as a single-family residential community. Many single-family residences in Cedar Park date from the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. The neighborhood boundaries remain a matter of debate. Some believe that only the parcels platted with the name "Cedar Park" are properly part of the Cedar Park neighborhood. Others argue that the Cedar Park Neighborhood extends east from 35th Avenue NE to the shore of Lake Washington and extends from NE 145th Street at the north to NE 120th Street at the south. This larger area is the area represented by the Cedar Park Neighborhood Council. This neighborhood was annexed to the City of Seattle in 1954 when the Seattle City Limits were extended north to 145th Street. From 1956 to 1981, children in the neighborhood attended the Cedar Park Elementary School, at NE 135th Street and 37th Avenue NE. In 1981, falling enrollment throughout the Seattle school system and particularly in the area served by the Cedar Park Elementary school led to the city deactivating the school. The city maintained title to the land and buildings, but ceased to use it as a school, and instead leased the space to an artists enclave known as the Artwood Studios, which stayed in residence for a full 32 years. In 2013, once again faced with changing enrollment numbers, the city reactivated the school. At the time of Artwood's displacement, the building had served longer as a home for the studio than it had seen service as a school. Despite Cedar Park Elementary's reopening, by default current elementary students go south to John Rogers Elementary School, middle school students attend Jane Addams Middle School and high school students go to Nathan Hale High School. Cedar Park Elementary was reopened as an Option school, leveraging a nontraditional curriculum approach based on expedition learning. The former school playground, west of the former elementary school building, is now Cedar Park, a small local playground and play area. The Burke-Gilman Trail cuts through Cedar Park from NE 145th Street to NE 120th Street paralleling the Lake Washington shoreline.

Matthews Beach is a neighborhood in Seattle, Washington; it and Meadowbrook are the southern neighborhoods of the annexed township of Lake City (1954). Matthews Beach lies about 2 miles (3.2 km) northeast of the University of Washington, about 8 miles (13 km) northeast of Downtown. The general boundaries of Matthews Beach are: bounded on the north by NE 120th Street and Lakeside Place NE, the Cedar Park neighborhood, on the east by Lake Washington; on the south by NE 95th Street and Paisley Drive NE, the Sand Point and View Ridge neighborhoods; and on the west by 35th and 45th avenues, the Meadowbrook neighborhood (see map.Neighborhoods in Seattle are informal. The residents living west of Sand Point Way may consider themselves belonging to the adjacent neighborhoods of Meadowbrook or Wedgwood. The entirely residential neighborhood abuts Lake Washington and includes Matthews Beach, a seasonally popular city park with the largest Fresh water swimming beach in the city.

The Burke–Gilman Trail is a rail trail in King County, Washington. The 27-mile (43 km) multi-use recreational trail is part of the King County Regional Trail System and occupies an abandoned Seattle, Lake Shore and Eastern Railway corridor. The Burke–Gilman segment is managed by the City of Seattle south of NE 145th Street. The trail begins at 11th Avenue NW in Ballard and follows along the Lake Washington Ship Canal and north along Lake Washington. At Blyth Park in Bothell the trail becomes the Sammamish River Trail and continues for 10 miles (16 km) to Marymoor Park, Redmond, on Lake Sammamish. With the completion of a connector trail through Marymoor Park in May, 2009 the trail network continues to the city of Issaquah via the East Lake Sammamish Trail. With the addition of the connector, the longest unbroken segment of the trail currently extends 42 miles. It runs 14.1 miles (22.7 km) between Ballard and Tracy Owen Station in Kenmore (its initial eastern end), or 17 miles (27 km) to Blyth Park. The Seattle Parks Department considers the Burke–Gilman segment of the trail to end in Kenmore; The total distance from Golden Gardens Park to Bothell, including the proposed "missing link" through Ballard, is 19.8 mi (31.9 km). King County considers that the segments divide in Bothell, Judge Burke and Daniel Gilman's original Road east ran past Snoqualmie Falls, before North Bend.

Picardo Farm is a 98,000 sq ft (9,100 m2) parcel of property in Wedgwood, Seattle, Washington, consisting largely of 281 plots used for gardening allotments. It is the original P-Patch (the local term for such community gardens): the "P" originally stood for "Picardo", after the family who owned it. The Picardos' land went beyond the present P-Patch; it also encompassed the property of the adjacent Reform Jewish Temple Beth Am and of University Prep, an independent private co-educational, non-sectarian day school for grades six through twelve. The land was part of what had once been known as the Ravenna Swamp.It is one of two historical farms preserved within Seattle city limits, the other being Marra Farm in South Park. The city's official web site describes Picardo Farm as having "Seattle's best soil… Rich, black, peaty, sucking with moisture in the spring, powdery dry for digging potatoes…

Zylberschtein's is a Jewish deli and bakery in the Pinehurst neighborhood of northern Seattle, Washington, United States. The deli is named after owner Josh Grunig's great grandfather Morris Zylberschtein.
