Paynter's Lane End is a hamlet in the parish of Illogan, Cornwall, England.

Bridge (Cornish: Ponsjulyan) is a village in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is about 1 km east of Portreath (where the 2011 census population is included).

Nance Wood is a woodland Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) near Portreath, west Cornwall. The site was first notified in 1951 for its almost pure dwarf, sessile oak (Quercus petraea) coppiced woodland, good bryophyte flora and Irish spurge (Euphorbia hyberna), which is found in only two localities in Britain.

East Pool mine (later known as East Pool and Agar mine), was a metalliferous mine in the Camborne and Redruth mining area, just east of the village of Pool in Cornwall, England. Worked from the early 18th century until 1945, first for copper and later tin, it was very profitable for much of its life. Today the site has two preserved beam engines and is part of the Cornwall and West Devon Mining Landscape World Heritage Site. It is owned by the National Trust.

Illogan Highway is a village on the A30 main road west of Redruth in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is in the civil parish of Carn Brea. Thomas Merritt (1863-1908), who composed several Christmas carols, including "Hark the Glad Sound! The Saviour Comes" and "Lo! He Comes, an Infant Stranger" was organist at the Methodist church (pictured) from 1889 until his death in 1908. Merritt was born at Illogan, the son of Thomas Merritt; he also composed an oratorio “The Christian Soldier” and a sacred cantata “Shepherd of Israel”. Thomas Merritt, whose carols are sung by Cornishmen worldwide and who was commissioned to write the 1902 Coronation March for Edward VII, is buried in Illogan churchyard.

Remote Radar Head Portreath or RRH Portreath is an air defence radar station operated by the Royal Air Force. It has a coastal location at Nancekuke Common, approximately 1.25 kilometres (0.78 mi) north east of the village of Portreath in Cornwall, England. Its radar (housed in a fibre glass or golf ball protective dome) provides long-range coverage of the south western approaches to the United Kingdom.

Tolgus Mount (also Tolgus or Tolgoose) is a village, valley, and district in the parish of Redruth in Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. It is located to the northwest of town of Redruth across the A30 road and falls within the Redruth North ward on Cornwall Council. Historically there were several mines in the area, mining tin and copper.
