Darna River

Kadva river (Hindi: कादवा नदी) is a minor but important tributary of Godavari in Nashik district, Maharashtra. It originates and flows through the Dindori Taluka of Nashik District.

Welu River or Vel River is a minor but important tributary of Bhima River in Pune district, Maharashtra, India. It originates and flows through the Ambegaon, Khed, Shirur talukas of Pune District.

Diva Junction railway station is a junction between Mumbra and Kopar that is situated in Maharashtra state, in India. It was opened in 1877.This is a major junction in the Central Railway of Mumbai. One end of the Asia's one time third largest Parsik tunnel (1.3 km) built during the British Rule (1916) in India ends at Diva. The east part of Diva station is Sabe and west is Diva. It provides access to north, Western Railway and towards Panvel, Roha and further towards Konkan Railway and south, and also to Alibaug and JNPT, via Vasai Road–Roha line. From 18 December 2016 fast local trains halt at Diva. Few passenger trains towards Konkan Railway also halt at Diva Junction.

Thane high-speed railway station is a proposed high-speed railway station on the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor. This station is located near Datiwali in Diva Gaon, Thane district, Maharashtra, India. It is the second station of the Mumbai–Ahmedabad high-speed rail corridor, after Mumbai BKC station and before Virar station. The station will have the first depot of the high-speed rail corridor, just north of it near Bhiwandi.

Mumbra Devi Temple is an old Hindu temple situated at the top of Parsik Hill in Mumbra, a suburb of Thane district, near Mumbai, India. The temple is located on the hill, approximately 210 meters from sea level.Mumbra Devi Temple has idols of nine goddesses. These nine idols are carved in stone, with vertebrae engraved on them. The temple is crowded with devotees on Navratri and many trekkers also visit the area to climb the hill.

The Parsik Tunnel is a 1.31678 km (0.81821 mi) long electrified dual-line railway tunnel located in Parsik Hill to the east of Thane, Maharashtra. It is a part of the Central line. This tunnel bypasses the Kalwa and Mumbra railway stations, making it a fast line between Thane and Diva Junction. The west exit of the tunnel is to the southeast of the Kalwa station, while the east exit is to the south of the Mumbra station.

Parsik Hill is a hill in the Mumbai metropolitan area, in the Thane district of Maharashtra, India. It has a rail tunnel called Parsik tunnel. It is one of the longest and oldest tunnels in India and Asia.

On 4 April 2013, a building collapsed on tribal land in Mumbra, a suburb of Thane in Maharashtra, India. It has been called the worst building collapse in the area. Seventy-four people (18 children, 33 men and 23 women) were killed, while more than 100 survived. The search for additional survivors ended on 6 April 2013.The building was under construction and did not have an occupancy certificate for its 100 to 150 low- to middle-income residents. Living in the building were the site construction workers and families. It was reported that the building was illegally constructed because standard practices were not followed for safe, lawful construction; land acquisition and resident occupancy. By 11 April, a total of 15 suspects were arrested including builders, engineers, municipal officials and other responsible parties. Governmental records indicate that there were two orders to manage the number of illegal buildings in the area: a 2005 Maharashtra state order to use remote sensing and a 2010 Bombay High Court order. There were also complaints made to state and municipal officials. On 9 April, a campaign began by the Thane Municipal Corporation to demolish area illegal buildings, focusing first on "dangerous" buildings. The forest department said that it will address encroachment of forest land in the Thane district. A call centre was established by the Thane Municipal Corporation to accept and track resolution of caller complaints about illegal buildings.
