Neuhausen auf den Fildern is a municipality in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is located 13 km southeast of Stuttgart. It is the birthplace of the Fortepiano builder Anton Walter.

Nellingen Kaserne was a U.S. Army airfield and barracks near Stuttgart in the town of Ostfildern in Germany.

The Körsch Viaduct is a bridge that crosses the Körsch Valley (river Körsch) in Germany, supporting a road around Nellingen. It was built from 1991 to 1993 by incremental launch. It was handed over to the public on 6 September 1995. The bridge also crosses a 110 kilovolt power line of the EnBW AG and a sewage treatment plant.

Ostfildern (; Swabian: Oschtfilder) is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is located approximately 8 km southeast of Stuttgart. It was formed in 1975 out of a fusion of the previously separate boroughs of Nellingen (including Parksiedlung), Ruit, Kemnat and Scharnhausen and currently has approximately 37,000 inhabitants.

Stuttgart Airport (German: Flughafen Stuttgart, formerly Flughafen Stuttgart-Echterdingen) (IATA: STR, ICAO: EDDS) is the international airport of Stuttgart, the capital of the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is christened in honor of Stuttgart's former mayor, Manfred Rommel, son of Erwin Rommel, and is the sixth busiest airport in Germany with 11,832,634 passengers having passed through its doors in 2018. The facility covers approximately 400 hectares (1,000 acres), of which 190 hectares are green space.The airport is operated by Flughafen Stuttgart GmbH (FSG). It goes back to Luftverkehr Württemberg AG, which was founded in 1924 and initially operated Böblingen Airport. Since 2008, 65% of the operating company is owned by the state of Baden-Württemberg and 35% by the city of Stuttgart. It is located approximately 13 km (8.1 mi) (10 km (6.2 mi) in a straight line) south of Stuttgart and lies on the boundary between the nearby town of Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Filderstadt and Stuttgart itself. In 2007, the Messe Stuttgart convention center – the ninth biggest exhibition centre in Germany – moved to grounds directly next to the airport. Additionally, the global headquarters for car parking company APCOA Parking are located here.

Sielmingen is a former municipality in the Esslingen district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was first recorded in year 1275 as Sygehelmingen. In 1975 it was merged with the municipalities Bernhausen, Bonlanden, Plattenhardt and Harthausen to form the new town Filderstadt. Sielmingen is today a quartier of that town, formally named Filderstadt-Sielmingen. It has 7,566 inhabitants.

Filderstadt (German pronunciation: [ˈfɪldɐˌʃtat] ; Swabian: Fildorsdadd) is a town in the district of Esslingen in Baden-Württemberg in southern Germany. It is located approximately 13 km south of Stuttgart. Filderstadt is located next to the Stuttgart Airport and the new Trade Fair. Line S2 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn terminates at Filderstadt station. Filderstadt was created as a town in 1975 from five smaller villages called Bernhausen, Bonlanden, Plattenhardt, Sielmingen and Harthausen. From 1978 to 2005, it played host to the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, a WTA Tier II event. Princess Claire of Luxembourg was born here on 21 March 1985. German writer Michael Ende, author of The Neverending Story, died in Filderstadt in 1995.

With an area of more than 30 hectares, the Hohenheim Gardens are the largest part of the campus of the University of Hohenheim in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The oldest part of the garden, the Exotic Garden or Franziskas Dörfle, was established in 1776 by Duke Carl Eugen von Württemberg and Franziska von Hohenheim. Today, the Hohenheim Gardens are home to around 3000 taxa of woody plants as well as numerous monuments and works of art from four centuries. Over 150 woody plants are more than 100 years old. The Hohenheim Gardens are open all year round, all day and free of charge.

Bernhausen is a former municipality in the Esslingen district, in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. It was first recorded in year 1089 as Berinhusen. In 1975 it was merged with the municipalities Bonlanden, Plattenhardt, Sielmingen and Harthausen to form the new town Filderstadt. Bernhausen is today a quartier of that town, formally named Filderstadt-Bernhausen. It has 13,216 inhabitants. Line S2 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn terminates at Filderstadt station in Bernhausen.

For the district inside the city of Stuttgart, see Hohenheim.Schloss Hohenheim is a manor estate in Stuttgart, eponymous of the Hohenheim city district. The original castle was a fief of the County of Württemberg, recorded for the 12th century. The estate fell into the possession of Charles Eugene, Duke of Württemberg in 1768, who had it re-built as a Rococo style manor with extensive gardens and residential palace for his future wife, Franziska von Hohenheim. The estate was the main ducal residence during 1772–1797, when it fell to the city of Stuttgart. An Agricultural Educational Testing and Model Institution was housed here in 1818, and the estate remains in use by the Horticulture and Agriculture Departments of the University of Hohenheim.

Filderstadt station (called Bernhausen station until 28 May 1983) is the end point of the railway from Stuttgart-Rohr. Line S 2 of the Stuttgart S-Bahn terminates here.

Esslingen (Neckar) station is the most important station in the town of Esslingen am Neckar in the German state of Baden-Württemberg and is located 13.2 kilometres (8.2 mi) from Stuttgart Hauptbahnhof on the Fils Valley Railway.
