A bronze statue of Charles de Gaulle stands in Carlton Gardens in the City of Westminster, London. Charles de Gaulle, the leader of Free France, set up his government in exile at No. 4 Carlton Gardens.The statue was campaigned for by Mary Soames, the daughter of De Gaulle's contemporary Winston Churchill. It was unveiled by Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother on 23 June 1993 in the presence of Jacques Chirac, at that time Mayor of Paris, and the President of the National Assembly Philippe Séguin, as well as De Gaulle's chauffeur-translator Olivia Jordan. The architect was Bernard Wiehahn and the sculptor Angela Conner. De Gaulle is portrayed in the uniform of a brigadier-general. The statue is one of 39 in London maintained by English Heritage, the majority of which are in Westminster.The French Embassy commemorates De Gaulle at the statue annually. The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, laid a wreath on his visit to London on 18 June 2020, the 80th anniversary of De Gaulle's resistance speech.The enthusiastic fundraising for the statue by the British public led to calls for a statue of Churchill to be placed in the French capital, which was unveiled in 1998.

Harding Howell and Company's Grand Fashionable Magazine was an 18th-century department store at 89 Pall Mall in St James's, London. Open from 1796 to 1820, it could be considered a forerunner of the modern department store.The shop was divided into four departments, selling fur and fans, fabric for dresses, haberdashery, jewelry and clocks, perfume and millinery.

The Royal Automobile Club is a British private social and athletic club. It has two clubhouses: one in London at 89 Pall Mall, and the other in the countryside at Woodcote Park, near Epsom in Surrey. Both provide accommodation and a range of dining and sporting facilities. The Royal Automobile Club has some female members. It is best-known for establishing the roadside assistance service RAC Limited, though this is no longer owned by the club.

The Junior Carlton Club was a London gentlemen's club, now dissolved, which was established in 1864 and was disbanded in 1977.

The Reform Club is a private members' club on the south side of Pall Mall in central London, England. As with all of London's original gentlemen's clubs, it comprised an all-male membership for decades, but it was one of the first all-male clubs to change its rules to include the admission of women on equal terms in 1981. Since its founding in 1836, the Reform Club has been the traditional home for those committed to progressive political ideas, with its membership initially consisting of Radicals and Whigs. However, it is no longer associated with any particular political party, and it now serves a purely social function. The Reform Club currently enjoys extensive reciprocity with similar clubs around the world. It attracts a significant number of foreign members, such as diplomats accredited to the Court of St James's. Of the current membership of around 2,700, some 500 are "overseas members", and over 400 are women.

The statue of Lord Curzon is a Grade II listed statue that stands on Carlton House Terrace in London. The statue stands opposite Curzon's home at 1 Carlton House Terrace. Lord Curzon served as Viceroy of India and was considered to be autocratic in his rule, despite this he has been hailed for implementing a number of reforms, particularly for the better treatment of Indians. He was also known for his oratory skills, and resplendence in India, staging the Delhi Durbar. In 1923, Curzon aimed to become Prime Minister but it instead went to Stanley Baldwin. The statue was designed by Bertram Mackennal and unveiled in 1931 by Baldwin. It depicts Curzon wearing his Garter robes. It faces his London home, where he would host popular dinner parties and often work tirelessly into the late hours of the night.

Norfolk House, 31 St James's Square, Westminster, was built between 1748 and 1752 as his London townhouse by Edward Howard, 9th Duke of Norfolk (1686–1777) to the design of Matthew Brettingham (1699–1769), "the Elder", and was demolished in 1938. His country house and main seat was Worksop Manor in Nottinghamshire. Norfolk House was built on a site formerly occupied by two houses, namely St Albans House, the residence of the Earl of St Albans (purchased by Thomas Howard, 8th Duke of Norfolk in 1722), and the other the residence of John Belasyse, 1st Baron Belasyse (1614–1689) (purchased by the 9th Duke of Norfolk in 1748). Both these houses were demolished in 1748 by the 9th Duke of Norfolk in preparation for his new house.

Buckingham House was a residence of the Dukes of Buckingham and Chandos in Pall Mall, London. Designed by the Neoclassical architect Sir John Soane in 1790, it featured the Neo-Palladian style for the three-storey-high frontage. The construction work finished in 1795.The house was demolished in 1908, and the Royal Automobile Club occupies the site today.

3 Carlton Gardens is a house in Carlton Gardens, cul-de-sac at the west end of Carlton House Terrace in London's St James's district SW1. The house was designed by Decimus Burton as part of a pair. It has been listed Grade II* on the National Heritage List for England since January 1970.The house is three storeys tall plus an attic storey; and four windows wide. A balustraded balcony is on the first floor. The house has a swimming pool and spa, and private formal gardens.In 1843, it was residence to the politician Frederick Hodgson, MP for Barnstable. In 1856 it was the home of the Conservative MP for Buteshire, James Stuart-Wortley. The house was the residence of the Conservative politician and army officer George Weld-Forester, 3rd Baron Forester in the 1870s; Weld-Forester died at the property in 1886.The house was used by the Secret Intelligence Service (MI6) to interview recruits after the Second World War.In 2012, the house was bought by the property developer Mike Spink for £65.5 million, who subsequently renovated the property. The property was listed at £125 million for several years until its 2019 sale to the American hedge fund manager Kenneth C. Griffin, the founder and CEO of Citadel LLC, for £95 million.The 2019 sale of 3 Carlton Gardens was the most expensive sale of a UK property since 2011.

The Travellers Club is a private gentlemen's club situated at 106 Pall Mall in London, United Kingdom. It is the oldest of the surviving Pall Mall clubs and one of the most exclusive, having been established in 1819. It was described as "the quintessential English gentleman's club" by the Los Angeles Times in 2004.

The King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Memorial, situated between The Mall and Carlton Gardens in central London, is a memorial to King George VI and his consort, Queen Elizabeth. Completed in its present form in 2009, the memorial incorporates an earlier, Grade II listed statue of George VI by William McMillan, unveiled by his daughter Queen Elizabeth II in 1955. The reconfigured memorial, which includes a statue of the Queen Mother by Philip Jackson, relief sculpture by Paul Day and an architectural setting by Donald Buttress and Donald Insall, was unveiled by Elizabeth II in 2009.

Pall Mall is a street in the St James's area of the City of Westminster, Central London. It connects St James's Street to Trafalgar Square and is a section of the regional A4 road. The street's name is derived from pall-mall, a ball game played there during the 17th century, which in turn is derived from the Italian pallamaglio, literally ball-mallet. The area was built up during the reign of Charles II with fashionable London residences. It is known for high-class shopping in the 18th century until the present, and gentlemen's clubs in the 19th. The Reform, Athenaeum and Travellers Clubs have survived to the 21st century. The War Office was based on Pall Mall during the second half of the 19th century, and the Royal Automobile Club's headquarters have been on the street since 1908.
