Norfolk Collegiate is a coeducational independent day school in Norfolk, Virginia for students in pre-kindergarten through 12th grade. Norfolk Collegiate is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS). It's also a member of the Tidewater Conference of Independent Schools, which includes 10 private schools from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia, as well as a member of the Virginia Independent Schools Athletic Association.

Talbot Hall is a historic house at the western end of Talbot Hall Road in Norfolk, Virginia. It is a two-story masonry structure, built out of brick finished with stucco, and covered by a gable roof. It was built c. 1799-1802 by Samuel Butt Talbot as a summer retreat, and the property features views similar to those it would have had in the 19th century, including two 19th-century magnolia trees that grace the waterfront on the Lafayette River.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2016.

Colonial Place is a residential neighborhood in Norfolk, Virginia. It is a peninsula bordered by 38th Street on the south, and surrounded on three sides by the Lafayette River. It is a relatively racially mixed area that includes mostly single family homes and a few apartment buildings. Many large homes front the water and Mayflower Road arches around the shore of the river. The Colonial Place Historic District is a national historic district listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2002. It encompasses 1,090 contributing buildings and 4 contributing sites in a primarily residential section of Norfolk. It is a middle-class and upper middle-class residential neighborhood that largely developed during the period 1903–1941. The neighborhood includes notable examples of the Queen Anne and Colonial Revival styles. Notable buildings include the Richard W. Peatross House (1908), Taylor House (1908) and Stuart Elementary School.

Camp Allen, is a small United States Marine Corps base in Norfolk, Virginia, a satellite of the Naval Station Norfolk. In 1942 the Chief of the Bureau of Yards and Docks (now NAVFAC) wanted the first Seabee training center close to an existing Naval training facility with Norfolk being chosen because of the available land that could be purchased. On 25 March 1942 the Commandant of the 5th Naval District announced that the U.S. Naval Construction Training Center, Naval Operating Base Norfolk had been commissioned 4 days prior. The base was named Camp Allen in memory of the CEC Captain Walter H. Allen founder of the naval construction regiment at Great Lakes Naval Training Center during WWI.Camp Allen later became home to the 3rd Fleet Antiterrorism Security Team (FAST) Companies. The base had a supply warehouse, battalion aid station, and transportation area, but all have been re-purposed. All units are members of the Marine Corps Security Force Regiment, headquartered aboard Naval Weapons Station Yorktown.

It encompasses 203 contributing buildings in a small, cohesive residential neighborhood just north of Lafayette Residence Park in Norfolk. It was platted in 1909, and largely developed between 1916 and 1941. There are notable examples of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival style residential architecture.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2001.

Lambert's Point Knitting Mill, also known as The Knitting Mill and Old Dominion Paper Company, is a historic mill building located at Norfolk, Virginia. It was built in 1895, and consists of the central two-story original mill building highlighted by a tall four-story tower. It was augmented in the 1950s by a one-story addition on the south elevation, and by additional one-story additions on the north and west sides of the building. The masonry structure is clad with smooth-finished concrete stucco.It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2006.

It was mostly Norfolk County farmland when it was founded in 1906.The neighborhood sits astride Hampton Boulevard north of 49th street, and is bordered by the Lafayette River to the east and north, the Elizabeth River to the west, and Old Dominion University, Highland Park, and 52nd Street to the south. Major neighborhood streets include Jamestown Crescent, Powhatan Avenue, Bolling Avenue and Magnolia Avenue. This is also one of the foremost neighborhoods in the city of Norfolk.The headquarters for the Hampton Roads area PBS affiliate, WHRO-TV, and its sister radio stations WHRO-FM and WHRV, are located in the neighborhood.

It encompasses 284 contributing buildings in a primarily residential section and suburban community north of the downtown area of Norfolk. It developed during the first quarter of the 20th century and includes notable examples of the Gothic Revival and Queen Anne styles. Notable non-residential buildings include the Lafayette Grammar School (1908-1910), Church of the Epiphany (1920), and the First United Methodist Church (1922).It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1999.
