Axcelis Technologies, Inc. is an American company engaging in the design, manufacture, and servicing of capital equipment for the semiconductor manufacturing industry worldwide. It produces ion implantation systems, including high and medium current implanters, and high energy implanters, and curing systems used in the fabrication of semiconductor chips. The company was incorporated in 1995 and is headquartered in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. In 2000, Eaton Corporation spun off its semiconductor manufacturing equipment business as Axcelis Technologies.On December 4, 2012 Axcelis Technologies decided "...that it will exit the dry-strip business and divest its dry-strip intellectual property and technology, including the advanced non-oxidizing process technology of its Integra product line, to Lam Research,...Axcelis will continue to ship its 300 mm dry-strip products through August 2013..." In 2015, Axcelis sold its headquarters in a leaseback agreement.

The Rea-Proctor Homestead is a historic First Period house at 180 Conant Street in Danvers, Massachusetts. It is notable not only for its age, but its association with a number of well-known individuals. The oldest part of the house was built c. 1692 by Joshua Rea Sr., whose son, Joshua Jr., testified at the Salem witch trials on behalf of John Proctor. It remained in the Rea family until 1803, and from 1804 to 1806 it was owned by one of Massachusetts's leading statesmen, Timothy Pickering. The house was updated to a Federalist style by Isaac Rea, the last of that family to own the property. Pickering was a gentleman farmer, running agricultural experiments on the farm and taking detailed notes of his work. He helped found the Essex Agricultural Society, the first organization of its type. In 1812 the property was purchased by Daniel Proctor, and it has since remained in the hands of his descendants.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.

The Old Farm is a historic First Period house in Wenham, Massachusetts. The oldest part of the house, the left front and chimney, were built first, followed by the rooms to the right of the chimney, and a rear leanto section. This work was all done in the 17th century, but has not been dated with precision. In the late 19th century the rear section was raised to a full two stories, and the roof was rebuilt as a gambrel. The building underwent a major restoration effort in the early 20th century, led by Joseph Everett Chandler, a prominent restoration specialist. The restoration job was the subject of an article in a 1921 edition of House Beautiful.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The James Friend House is a historic First Period house in Wenham, Massachusetts, United States. It was built by James Friend, a local carpenter, probably not long after he received a grant in 1699 to cut timber on public land. The house is a 2.5-story wood-frame house with a center chimney. Its main facade is a slightly asymmetrical five bays wide, even though it was apparently originally built to that plan rather than in stages. A lean-to was added to the back of the house sometime before 1738, giving the house a saltbox appearance. This section was raised to a full two stories in the 19th century, and the roof was rebuilt. In the early 20th century, the house was moved back from the road and covered in stucco.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

Danvers High School (DHS) is a public high school in Danvers, Massachusetts, United States. It is part of the Danvers Public Schools school district.

Danvers is a town in Essex County, Massachusetts, United States, located on the Danvers River near the northeastern coast of Massachusetts. The suburb is a fairly short ride from Boston and is also in close proximity to the beaches of Gloucester, Ipswich and Revere. Originally known as Salem Village, the town is most widely known for its association with the 1692 Salem witch trials. It was also the site of Danvers State Hospital, one of the state's 19th-century psychiatric hospitals. Danvers is a local center of commerce, hosting many car dealerships and the Liberty Tree Mall. As of the 2020 United States Census, the town's population was 28,087.

The Solomon Kimball House, probably built in 1696, is a historic First Period house in Wenham, Massachusetts. Although named for nineteenth- and early twentieth-century owner Solomon Kimball, the house was built by Thomas and Mary (Solart) Kilham—he the veteran of a pivotal battle in King Philip’s War and she the sister and aunt of defendants in the Salem Witchcraft Trials. Eighteenth-century owners included Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Deputies William Fairfield, and American Revolutionary War veteran Capt. Matthew Fairfield. The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Newman–Fiske–Dodge House is a historic First Period house in Wenham, Massachusetts. The house contains a rare instance of preserved 17th century decoration. Like many First Period houses, it was built in stages. The first part, the now-central chimney and right-side two stories, was built c. 1658, with the left-side rooms being added c. 1695–96. The fireplace in the right-side room contains original detailing that was covered over by paneling sometime in the 18th century, and the trim on the staircase to the second floor was probably added at the time of the addition.There have been several later additions to the house. A leanto section was added to the rear in the 18th century, and single story wings were added to either side in the 19th century. The interior was also partially redecorated in the 19th century, giving the left side front room some Greek Revival character. In the early 20th century the house underwent a major restoration, in which the left side front room was opened up to the leanto section, creating a large living space.The first documented owner of the house (and for whom it may have been built) was the Rev. Antipas Newman, who married Elizabeth, the daughter of John Winthrop the Younger. The modifications in the 1690s were probably made by William Fiske, Jr.The property was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. It also includes a barn which may be of 18th century origin.

The Rea Putnam Fowler House is a historic house in Danvers, Massachusetts. It is a 2+1⁄2-story timber-frame structure, five bays wide with a side gable roof, clapboard siding, and a slender central chimney. A leanto section extends to the rear, giving the house a classic saltbox profile. The leanto section extends beyond one of the sides, creating what is called a "Beverly jog". The front entrance is centered, and is sheltered by a late 18th or early 19th-century porch. The oldest portion of the house, its western three bays and leanto, was built about 1700, and the eastern bays were added about 1725. The original chimney was quite large; the present chimney is a 19th-century replacement, and a second chimney in the leanto is a 20th-century addition. The house underwent a historically sensitive restoration in the 1930s, under the auspices of the Society for the Preservation of New England Antiquities (now Historic New England).The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990.

The Exercise Conant House (also the Reverend John Chipman House) is a historic First Period house in Beverly, Massachusetts, United States. Most of this 2.5-story wood-frame house was built after 1715 for the Reverend John Chipman, and contains many fine Georgian features. Attached to its north side is a two-story single-room ell that dates to c. 1695, and was probably built by Exercise Conant, son of early Cape Ann settler Roger Conant.The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1990. A historical marker at the site reads, "Roger Conant was a prudent and religious man who led the old planters from Gloucester to Salem in 1626, and held them together until the Bay Colony was founded. This house was built on land given by him to his son Exercise Conant in 1666. -Massachusetts Bay Colony Tercentenary Commission".

Wenham Lake is a 224-acre body of water located in Wenham and Beverly towns, Essex County, Massachusetts.The lake receives water from the water table and also from a system of streams. In the 19th century, the lake was an important source of ice for export, especially to Britain. Wenham Lake is now a reservoir for the Salem and the Beverly Water Supply Board.

Beverly Cotton Manufactory was the first cotton mill built in America, and the largest cotton mill to be built during its era. It was built hoping for economic success, but reached a downturn due to technical limitations of the then early production process and limitations of the machines being used. Being the birthplace and testing grounds of the cotton milling industry at the time, it has been called the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.
