Northern Communal Cemetery (Polish: Cmentarz Komunalny Północny) is one of the largest cemeteries in Poland and Europe, located in Młociny and Wólka Węglowa in the Bielany district of Warsaw, Poland. The site for the cemetery was established in the 1960s at the northern outskirts of the city and partly in the area of the village of Wólka Węglowa (hence the colloquial name Cemetery in Wólka, Cmentarz na Wólce). The cemetery was opened in 1973 and so far nearly 180,000 of the dead have been buried here.

Radiowo is a neighbourhood, and a City Information System area, in Warsaw, Poland, located within the district of Bielany.In the 17th century, within current boundries of the neighbourhood was founded the settlement of Opaleń, and later, in the 18th century, there was founded the village of Gać, later renamed to Radiowo. Both were incorporated into the city of Warsaw in 1951.

Mościska [mɔɕˈt͡ɕiska] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Izabelin, within Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) south-east of Izabelin, 9 km (6 mi) north-east of Ożarów Mazowiecki, and 12 km (7 mi) north-west of Warsaw. The village has a population of 500.

Lotnisko (lit. from Polish: airfield) is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. The majority its territory is occupied by the Warsaw Babice Airport, and the neighbourhood lacks any residential areas. The Warsaw Babice Airport was built between 1946 and 1950. Originally used by the military, it was scaled down at the end of the 1980s, with one of its two runways being removed, and eventually opened for civilian use in 1991.

Klaudyn [ˈklau̯dɨn] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Stare Babice, within Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. It lies approximately 4 kilometres (2 mi) north of Stare Babice, 8 km (5 mi) north-east of Ożarów Mazowiecki, and 13 km (8 mi) north-west of Warsaw. The village has an approximate population of 1,500.

Laski (Polish pronunciation: [ˈlaskʲi]) is a village in Poland, in the Masovian Voivodship, to the west of Warsaw, in the commune of Izabelin. It is located at the southern border of the Kampinos Forest and is a notable resort, with 1,600 permanent inhabitants (1998). The village is notable for its resort, hospital and schools for blind people run by Towarzystwo Opieki nad Ociemniałymi founded by countess Róża Czacka, and the Franciscan friars. In addition, a shelter for lone mothers run by Towarzystwo Pomocy im. Adama Chmielowskiego is located there. Near the blinded institute a wooden chapel is located (built in 1925), one of the most notable architectural monuments of the area. There is also a small World War II cemetery and a civilian cemetery, a final resting place of many Polish famous artists, among them are writers Antoni Słonimski and Jerzy Zawieyski.

Warsaw-Babice (ICAO code: EPBC) is an airport in Warsaw, located in the residential district of Bemowo, near the border with the district of Bielany. It is also unofficially known as Bemowo. The airport is administered by the Centre for Logistics "Warsaw-Babice" (Centrum Usług Logistycznych "Lotnisko Warszawa-Babice") and organisations based there include: the Warsaw Aero Club (Aeroklub Warszawski) and Polish Air Rescue (Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe). It has been used for various events and celebrity arrivals including Michael Jackson (1996), Madonna (2009), AC/DC (2010), and the Sonisphere Festival (2010, 2011, 2012).

The Ignacy Boerner Memorial (Polish: Pomnik Ignacego Boernera) is a modernist monument in Warsaw, Poland, placed at the corner of Kaliskiego and Kutrzeby Streets, in the Boernerowo neighbourhood of the Bemowo district. The modernist bust sculpture is dedicated to Ignacy Boerner, a military officer and politician, who was the Minister of Post and Telegraphs of Poland from 1929 to 1933, and the founder of Boernerowo. The monument was unveiled on 17 November 2007.

Gmina Łomianki is an urban-rural gmina (administrative district) in Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, in east-central Poland. Its seat is the town of Łomianki, which lies approximately 15 kilometres (9 mi) north-east of Ożarów Mazowiecki and 16 km (10 mi) north-west of Warsaw. It covers an area of 38.06 square kilometres (14.7 sq mi), and as of 2008 its total population is 23,155.

Łomianki [wɔˈmʲaŋkʲi] is a town in Warsaw West County, Masovian Voivodeship, Poland. It had a population of 16,374 in 2008, and 24,328 in 2016. It is part of the Warsaw metropolitan area. It was the site of the Battle of Łomianki between Polish and German troops, fought on September 22, 1939 during the invasion of Poland, which started World War II.

Fort Radiowo is a neighbourhood and City Information System area in the Bemowo district of Warsaw, Poland. It features the campus of the Military University of Technology and low-rise single-family housing, as well as the historic Fort IIA, dating to the 1880s. In the 1880s, the Fort IIA Babice (later also known as Radiowo), was built in the area of the modern neighbourhood, as part of the fortifications of Warsaw. In 1923, it was adopted to house the broadcasting infrastructure of the Transatlantic Radiotelegraph Exchange, at the time, one of the largest radio communication stations in the world. In 1933, a small suburb of Boernerowo was built nearby to house its employees. The complex was destroyed in 1944 during the Second World War. In 1951, the campus of the Military University of Technology was built in the area. It was incorporated into the city the same year.

The Battle of Łomianki was a part of the opening campaign of World War II during the 1939 German invasion of Poland, fought between Polish and German forces. It was a failed counter-offensive attempt by the Polish forces.
