Brighton City Airport (IATA: ESH, ICAO: EGKA), also commonly known as Shoreham Airport, is located in the parish of Lancing in West Sussex, England. It has a CAA Public Use Aerodrome Licence that allows flights for the public transport of passengers or for flying instruction. Founded in 1910, it is the oldest airport in the UK and the oldest purpose-built commercial airport in the world still in operation. It is now owned by Brighton City Airport Ltd (BCAL). The 1930s Art Deco terminal building designed by R Stavers Hessell Tiltman is listed grade II*. The airport is 1 NM (1.9 km; 1.2 mi) west of Shoreham-by-Sea at Lancing in the Adur district of West Sussex. It is situated immediately to the south of the A27 road, between Brighton and Worthing, and immediately to the north of the West Coastway railway line.

Shoreham Tollbridge is a bridge crossing the River Adur in West Sussex, England. It is the last of its kind in Sussex and one of the last of its kind anywhere in the world.

Lancing College Chapel is the chapel to Lancing College in West Sussex, England, and is an example of Gothic Revival architecture. The chapel was designed by R.H. Carpenter and William Slater. The foundation stone of the chapel was laid in 1868, and the crypt was dedicated on 26 October 1875, whereupon the college began to use it for worship. Structural difficulties and chronic lack of funds meant that it was another forty-three years before the upper chapel was ready for use; the chapel was consecrated and dedicated to St Mary and St Nicolas in 1911. Even then it was unfinished. A proposed tower was abandoned, and the west wall was covered in corrugated iron. The chapel is built of Sussex sandstone from Scaynes Hill in West Sussex. It is a Grade I listed building and the largest school chapel in the world.A stained-glass window was commissioned in memory of Trevor Huddleston OL, and consecrated by Desmond Tutu on 22 May 2007.

The Red Lion Inn is a 16th-century public house in the ancient Old Shoreham part of the town of Shoreham-by-Sea, in the Adur district of West Sussex, England. Established in the 16th century in part of a former monastery and cottage in the centre of Old Shoreham, opposite the village's former tollbridge, it was extended in the 19th century and became central to life in the old village. Alfred, Lord Tennyson's poem Rizpah is based on events at the inn in the 19th century which resulted in the capture and execution of some robbers. English Heritage has listed the building at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.

St Nicolas Church is an Anglican church in Old Shoreham, an ancient inland settlement that is now part of the town of Shoreham-by-Sea in the district of Adur, one of seven local government districts in the English county of West Sussex. It was founded on a riverside site by Anglo-Saxons at the start of the 10th century, possibly on the site of a 5th-century predecessor. Some Saxon-era structural elements remain despite 12th-century additions made when Shoreham became prosperous, further extension in the 14th century and a Victorian restoration. The cruciform structure, with its solid central tower, features some unusual Norman-era carving. English Heritage has listed it at Grade I for its architectural and historical importance.

Bungalow Town Halt was a small railway station in what is now Shoreham Beach, West Sussex. Bungalow Town had started in the 1870s as a series of converted railway carriages on the shingle spit shielding the River Adur..It was opened in 1910 and closed at the start of 1933. The station reopened as Shoreham Airport on 1 July 1935, serving Shoreham Airport to the north of the railway line until 15 July 1940.

Adur Estuary is a 62.2-hectare (154-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest on the western outskirts of Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex. Part is a Royal Society for the Protection of Birds nature reserve.The estuary has large areas of salt marsh. Sea purslane is dominant above the mean high water mark and glasswort below. There are also intertidal mudflats which are nationally important for ringed plovers and other wading birds include redshanks and dunlin.There is no public access to the RSPB reserve.

Widewater Lagoon is a 8.8-hectare (22-acre) Local Nature Reserve in Lancing in West Sussex. It is owned by West Sussex County Council and managed by Lancing Parish Council.This coastal saline lagoon is separated from Lancing Beach by a man-made shingle bank. The water is brackish and there are wildfowl such as herons and swans. A survey of the lagoon in 2013 found a wide range of flora and fauna including the rare water beetle Enochrus bicolor.There is access from Brighton Road, West Beach Road and via the footpath and cycle path running eastwards from Lancing beach green. The Ivell's sea anemone is only known from this lagoon.

Mill Hill is a 13.5-hectare (33-acre) Local Nature Reserve on the northern outskirts of Shoreham-by-Sea in West Sussex. It is owned by Adur District Council and managed by the council and the South Downs Joint Committee.This site has chalk grassland, scrub and secondary woodland. It is one of the best areas in Sussex for butterflies, with 29 species recorded, including the Adonis blue. More than 160 species of flowering plant have been recorded, such as horseshoe vetch.There is access from the road called Mill Hill.

The name St Peter's Church has been borne by two Roman Catholic churches in the town of Shoreham-by-Sea in the district of Adur, in the English county of West Sussex. The original church with that dedication was the town's first permanent Roman Catholic place of worship; founded in 1875, it was paid for by Augusta, Duchess of Norfolk, a member of the most important Dukedom in England. After its closure, a new St Peter's Church was built nearby. The old building, which still stands and is in residential use, has been listed by English Heritage at Grade II for its architectural and historical importance.
