KHTI (103.9 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Lake Arrowhead, California, and broadcasting to the Riverside-San Bernardino area of the Inland Empire. KHTI airs a Hot Adult Contemporary radio format as "Hot 103.9". It is owned by All Pro Broadcasting, a corporation controlled by the estate of Pro Football Hall of Fame member Willie Davis, which also owns KATY in nearby Temecula. KHTI is a Class A FM station with an effective radiated power (ERP) of 180 watts. Its transmitter tower is on Ongo Camp Road in Lake Arrowhead. The radio studios are on Airport Drive in San Bernardino.

KGGI (99.1 MHz) is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Riverside, California, and broadcasting to the Inland Empire. The station airs a Rhythmic Contemporary radio format and is owned by iHeartMedia, Inc. Its studios are on Iowa Avenue in Riverside. KGGI has an effective radiated power (ERP) of 2,550 watts. Its transmitter tower is on Ongo Camp Road in San Bernardino National Forest near Lake Arrowhead and Running Springs. KGGI broadcasts an HD Radio signal. In addition to its core service area of the Inland Empire, the station’s high transmitter site allows it to be heard clearly in the Victor Valley, where it regularly rates #1 in their radio ratings. The HD2 digital subchannel formerly played Classic Hip Hop music but has since been turned off. The station also streams on the iHeartRadio app.

SkyPark at Santa's Village is an outdoor adventure park with year-round mountain biking, hiking, fly fishing and open air activities in the Skyforest section of Lake Arrowhead, California. It opened on December 2, 2016, on the site of the former Santa's Village amusement park, which operated from 1955 until 1998.

Cedar Glen is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California, United States. This mountain community lies at an elevation of 5403 ft (1647 m), and is located within the San Bernardino National Forest resort area immediately east of Lake Arrowhead. California State Highway 173 bisects Cedar Glen and passes through Lake Arrowhead.

On August 18, 2023, 66-year-old Laura Ann "Lauri" Carleton was murdered in connection with hanging a pride flag outside the Mag.Pi clothing store that she owned, located in Cedar Glen, California, following an altercation with a patron. According to law enforcement, detectives learned the suspected killer, 26-year-old Travis Ikeguchi, made "several disparaging remarks about a rainbow flag that stood outside the store before shooting Carleton." The murder is being investigated as a possible hate crime.Later that day, Ikeguchi was shot and killed by police after opening fire on them. The murder occurred amid a widespread right-wing anti-LGBT campaign in the United States.

Skyforest is an unincorporated community in San Bernardino County, California, United States. Skyforest is located at an elevation of approximately 5,700 feet in the San Bernardino Mountains, along California State Route 18, 1 mile (1.6 km) southeast of Lake Arrowhead and approximately 75 miles east of Los Angeles. Skyforest has a post office with ZIP code 92385, which opened in 1928.

Running Springs is a census-designated place (CDP) in San Bernardino County, California, United States. The population was 5,268 at the 2020 census, up from 4,862 at the 2010 census. Running Springs is situated 17 miles west of the city of Big Bear Lake. Running Springs is home to the 3,400-acre National Children’s Forest, which offers interpretive programs, educational tours and more. Snow Valley Mountain Resort was established here in the 1920s and was the first ski resort in the San Bernardino Mountains.

Lake Arrowhead is an artificial lake located in the San Bernardino Mountains on Little Bear Creek, a tributary of Deep Creek and the Mojave River. It has a surface area of approximately 780 acres (320 ha) and a capacity of 48,000 acre⋅ft (59,000 dam3). It is surrounded by the unincorporated community of Lake Arrowhead in San Bernardino County, California. The lake was originally intended to serve as part of a major waterworks project to provide irrigation water to the San Bernardino Valley, and construction of the Lake Arrowhead Dam began toward that end in 1904. However, the original project was halted due to litigation over water supplies to land owners on the desert side of the mountains. Construction of the dam was completed in 1922 by the Arrowhead Lake Company, a Los Angeles syndicate, as part of a plan to develop the area into a resort.Use of the lake is currently controlled by the Arrowhead Lake Association, which maintains the lake for the recreational use of its members. Only Lake Arrowhead residents with lake rights may access the water. With the exception of a small handful of beaches and walkways, mostly attached to lakefront hotels and businesses, the entire lake shore is lined with boat docks and private homes. The Lake Arrowhead community Services District withdraws water from the lake for treatment and distribution to local residents for potable use.

Lake Arrowhead is an unincorporated community and a census-designated place (CDP) in the San Bernardino Mountains of San Bernardino County, California, surrounded by the San Bernardino National Forest, and surrounding the eponymous Lake Arrowhead Reservoir. Lake Arrowhead is located 13 miles north east of the San Bernardino city limits. The population of the CDP was estimated at 12,424 in the 2010 census. It was formerly called "Little Bear Lake", until around 1920, when a group from Los Angeles, the Arrowhead Lake Company, bought the lake and the land surrounding it, and changed its name to Arrowhead Lake. Tourism is the primary economic generator for the area, contributing several million dollars per year to the county and providing hundreds of full-time and part-time jobs for local residents. The area is host to over four million visitors a year. There are 400 guest rooms in hotels, motels and bed and breakfasts, vacation cabin rentals, condos, and rustic cabin lodges and resorts.

CEDU Educational Services, Inc., known simply as CEDU (pronounced see-doo), was a company founded in 1967 by Mel Wasserman and associated with the troubled teen industry. The company owned and operated several therapeutic boarding schools licensed as group homes, wilderness therapy programs, and behavior modification programs in California and Idaho. The company's schools have faced numerous allegations of abuse. CEDU went out of business in 2005, amid lawsuits and state regulatory crackdowns.
