Torbay Lifeboat Station is the base for Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) search and rescue operations at Brixham, Devon in England. Brixham Lifeboat Station was opened in 1866 but since 1924 has been known as 'Torbay'. Since 2005 it has operated a Severn-class all-weather lifeboat (ALB) together with a D-class (IB1) inshore lifeboat (ILB).

The British Seaman's Orphan Boys' Home was founded in Brixham on the Berry Head Road in 1863 by William Gibbs of Tyntesfield for the orphan sons of deceased British seamen. He died in 1875 and his widow conveyed the Home upon trust to the Bishop of Exeter, with the object of providing for the orphan sons of British seamen. It was closed in 1988 after 125 years. It was famous for its bugle and drum marching band which could be seen marching from the home to All Saints' Church most Sundays. Many hundreds of boys have passed through the Home and have been given a good start in life which they otherwise would have not had – most went on to join the Royal Navy. Some boys, in later life, spoke about the brutality of aspects of the orphanage, including physical violence and lack of affection or warmth . Life was very regimented for already traumatised children in the early part of the twentieth century.

Brixham Breakwater is a coastal breakwater situated at the town of Brixham in Devon, England. The breakwater provides shelter for vessels mooring at the port, including the historic Brixham fishing fleet. The building of the structure to its final length spanned several decades, with work beginning in 1843 to the design of the local civil engineer James Meadows Rendel and being completed in 1916, when the present cast-iron lighthouse was installed at the pier end.

St. Mary's Bay is a sand and shingle beach located near the fishing town of Brixham, Devon, England. It was originally called Mudstone Bay because of the local mudstone bedrock of the cliffs. It has footpath access from a car park and can be reached as a detour from a walk along the coast path. There is a viewpoint on Sharkham Point above the beach. Fossils can be found here.

Berry Head Lighthouse is an active lighthouse, located at the end of Berry Head near Brixham in Devon. It was originally built in 1906, and was then automated and converted to run on acetylene in 1921, and further modernised in 1994 (since when it has run on mains electricity); in 2019 it was converted to LED operation. Berry Head is reputedly the shortest lighthouse in Great Britain, but also one of the highest, being only 5 metres (16 ft) tall, but 58 metres (190 ft) above mean sea level. It was also said to be the deepest because the optic was originally turned by a weight falling down a 45 metres (148 ft) deep shaft (though an electric motor was subsequently used).Placed within a revolving third-order dioptric optic, the light had an intensity of 4,200 candela and a range of 19 nautical miles (35 km; 22 mi); it gave a double white flash every 15 seconds. In 2019 the optic and lamp were removed and replaced with a pair of self-contained LED lanterns (one serving as the main light, the other as a standby); the old characteristic was retained. The installation was the first application by Trinity House of its so-called 'simple lighthouse scheme', intended to be extended to all other shore-based mains-powered lighthouses, except those with more complex display requirements (e.g. provision of a sector light).Semaphore signalling apparatus was on Berry Head before 1875 and acted as the Lloyds' Signal Station for Torbay.

Brixham College is a mixed secondary school and sixth form located in Brixham in the English county of Devon.Previously a foundation school administered by Torbay Council, Brixham College was converted to academy status on 1 January 2012. However the school continues to coordinate with Torbay Council for admissions. Brixham College offers GCSEs, BTECs and NVQs as programmes of study for pupils, while students in the sixth form have the option to study from a range of A-levels and OCR Nationals. The school was originally built for 750 students but because of the good image of the school, it has around 1200 students.

Man and Boy is a statue situated at King's Quay on the harbour of Brixham, Devon, England. It is the result of a long fundraising effort; the residents of the town raised £76,000 for its construction. The monument was created in clay by the local sculptor Elisabeth Hadley and cast in bronze in Shropshire.
