SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences (formerly known as OTA Hochschule) is a state-accredited private university in Berlin which is part of SRH Holding. The university of applied sciences was founded in 2002. The introduction of English-speaking academic programmes at Bachelor's and Master's level began in 2006. SRH Berlin University of Applied Sciences offers Bachelor's, Master's and MBA programmes in German and English. The university of applied sciences is characterised by its international orientation and student body and the various collaborations with partner universities around the globe. There are currently more than 2200 students enrolled at the private university.

The Berlin Mathematical School (BMS) is a joint graduate school of the three renowned mathematics departments of the public research universities in Berlin: Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, and Technische Universität Berlin. In October 2006, the BMS was awarded one of the 18 prestigious graduate school awards by the Excellence Initiative of the German Federal Government for its innovative concept, its strong cross-disciplinary focus, and its outstanding teaching schedule tailored to the needs of students in an international environment. This was reconfirmed in June 2012 when the German Research Foundation announced that the BMS would also receive funding for a second period until 2017. Since 2019, the BMS is the graduate school in the Cluster of Excellence MATH+, which is funded by the Excellence Strategy. The BMS Chair is Jürg Kramer (HU), and the deputy Chairs are John M. Sullivan (TU) and Holger Reich (FU).

First offered in winter term 1926/27, it is one of the oldest programmes of its kind.TU Berlin has one of the highest proportions of international students in Germany, almost 27% in 2019.In addition, TU Berlin is part of the Berlin University Alliance, has been conferred the title of "University of Excellence" under and receiving funding from the German Universities Excellence Initiative.

Ernst-Reuter-Platz is a town square in Charlottenburg, Berlin, Germany. It is named after Ernst Reuter, mayor of West Berlin from 1948–1953.

The Universität der Künste Berlin (UdK; also known in English as the Berlin University of the Arts), situated in Berlin, Germany, is the largest art school in Europe. It is a public art and design school, and one of the four research universities in the city. The Gesellschaft zur Verfolgung von Urheberrechtsverletzungen e.V. (GVU, Society for the Prosecution of Copyright Infringement) is a registered association under German law. According to its own description it works for the video game industry and film industry and helps to protect intellectual property and to counter the illegal distribution of copied materials. For this purpose, the association cooperates with the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA).The GVU was founded in the spring of 1984 and entered the register of associations in February 1985 for the first time. The headquarters were located first in Hamburg, since 2008 they have been in Berlin-Mitte. The GVU became known to a wider public by participating in campaigns such as "pirates are criminals“ and investigations in the Kino.to case.
