The Old Union Meetinghouse, now the Union Baptist Church, is a historic church at 107 Mason Road in the Farmington Falls area of Farmington, Maine. Built in 1826–27, it is a high-quality and well-preserved example of a traditional late-colonial meetinghouse with Federal-style details. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

The Tufts House is a historic house on United States Route 2 in Farmington, Maine. Built in 1810, it is one of the few brick buildings of the period in the region, and is a little-altered example of fine Federal style architecture. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.

Mt. Blue High School is a public high school in Farmington, Maine, United States. The school includes grades 9–12 and is a part of the Mt. Blue Regional School District. It and enrolls students from the towns of Farmington, Weld, Temple, Wilton, Chesterville, New Vineyard, Industry, New Sharon, Starks, and Vienna. The school's athletic mascot is the cougar. In 2009 Mt. Blue changed from MSAD to Mt. Blue Regional School District (RSD), to start the new changes to the School. The state of Maine issued the school 63,568,833 dollars for the new school. The school was completely redone, and finished in 2013. The new school cover 226,000s square feet, 35.8% bigger than the old school. The school is three stories tall, and is the largest school in Franklin County.

The New Sharon Bridge was a single-span iron Pennsylvania truss that carried U.S. Route 2 (US 2) over the Sandy River in New Sharon, Maine. The bridge was built in 1916, closed to traffic in the 1990s, and was demolished on February 27, 2014. It had been listed on the National Register of Historic Places as one of only three pin-connected Pennsylvania truss bridges in the state.

New Sharon is a town in Franklin County, Maine, incorporated in 1794. The population was 1,458 at the 2020 census. The town is roughly bisected by the Sandy River, a tributary of the Kennebec River. Fred H. Hale Sr., who was recognized as the world's oldest living man from March 5, 2004 to November 19, 2004, was born in the town on December 1, 1890.

The Little Red Schoolhouse, also known as Briggs Schoolhouse, is a historic schoolhouse in Farmington, Maine. The one-room wood-frame schoolhouse was built in 1852, and originally stood on the Wilton Road (Maine State Route 4) at Red Schoolhouse Road. It served Farmington as the Briggs District school until 1958, and is one of the community's few surviving district school buildings. It was then used as a space for special needs students before being finally closed in 1969. It was moved the Franklin Agricultural Society fairgrounds on High Street in 2007. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972. It is open to the public during the annual Farmington Fair.

Temple Stream is a small river in Franklin County, Maine, United States. It is located in the Kennebec River watershed.It is named for the town of Temple, Maine. Temple's Intervale Road runs along the stream's southern banks, while Cummings Hill Road crosses it, near it its intersection with Maple Street. The stream is sourced from Jessie Pond, around 4.5 miles (7.2 km) north of Temple, and flows into Sandy River, just to the east of West Farmington.In 2022, the Walton's Mill Dam in Farmington was demolished, allowing Temple Stream to flow freely through Walton's Mill for the first time in 240 years. The change was made to allow fish passage, in turn protecting the endangered Atlantic salmon, which have been spawning at the site.In 2005, Bill Roorbach published Temple Stream: A Rural Odyssey. It is also frequently mentioned in A Soldier's Son: An American Boyhood During World War II (2006) by John E. Hodgkins.

The Isabel and Chester Greenwood House is an historic house at 112 Hill Street in Farmington, Maine. Built in 1896, it is an architecturally distinctive sophisticated Queen Anne Victorian. It is also notable as the home of Chester Greenwood, who invented the earmuff. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1978.
