Deggendorf Institute of Technology

Deggendorf Hauptbahnhof a railway station in the German state of Bavaria, classified by Deutsche Bahn as a category 5 station. It is not currently part of any transport association, so standard DB fares apply. It is planned that it will be integrated in the network area of the Transport Community of Deggendorf District (Verkehrsgemeinschaft Landkreis Deggendorf).

Deggendorf (Bavarian: Degndorf, Deggndorf) is a town in Bavaria, Germany, capital of the Deggendorf district. It is located on the left bank approximately in the middle between the Danube cities of Regensburg and Passau. The Danube forms the town's natural border towards the south. Towards the west, north and east the town is surrounded by the foothills of the central Bavarian Forest. Near the southwestern rim of the town, the railway bridge crosses the Danube at river-kilometer 2286. Directly south of the town Autobahn A3 and A92 form an important crossing. A few miles downstream, east of the district Deggenau, lies the confluence of the River Isar with the Danube.

The Isar river enters Germany near Mittenwald and flows through Bad Tölz, Munich, and Landshut before reaching the Danube near Deggendorf. With 295 km length, it is among the longest rivers in Bavaria. It is Germany's second most important tributary of the Danube.

Moos is a municipality in the district of Deggendorf in Bavaria in Germany.

Arcobräu is a brewery located in the Lower Bavarian municipality of Moos, Germany. The brewery has been owned by the family Arco-Zinneberg for 450 years. With an annual production volume of about 160,000 hectolitres (140,000 US bbl), it is among the larger breweries in Lower Bavaria. Their flagship beer is "Mooser Liesl", a Helles, meaning "Liesl from Moos".

The 1,043-metre-high Geißriegel is a mountain in the Danube Hills, the anterior part of the Bavarian Forest, southwest of the Lower Bavarian county town of Regen and northeast of the county town of Deggendorf. It lies within the municipality of Grafling in the county of Deggendorf. Together with the Dreitannenriegel (1090.2 m), the Steinberg (999 m), the Hochoberndorfer Berg (806.7 m) and the Ulrichsberg (636 m), it forms a group of mountains to the east of the valley of Graflinger Tal that separate the villages of Grafling and Bischofsmais. Other nearby peaks are the Breitenauriegel and the Geißkopf.

The Gerhard Neumann Museum is an aviation museum located in the German village of Niederalteich in Bavaria. The museum chronicles the work of German aero engine designer, Gerhard Neumann, in particular the General Electric J79 turbojet and Lockheed F-104 Starfighter which this engine powered. Many aerospace exhibits are on display including fixed-wing aircraft and aircraft engines.
