Acocks Green railway station (previously known as Acocks Green & South Yardley) serves the Acocks Green area of Birmingham, in the West Midlands region of England. Pre-nationalisation a GWR station on their main line from London (Paddington) to Birkenhead (Woodside) the station is now served by West Midlands Railway, who manage the station, and by Chiltern Railways.

South Yardley is a largely residential area in east Birmingham, England about 3.5 miles (6 km) from the city centre, and one of the city's 69 electoral wards.

Acocks Green is one of four wards making up Yardley formal district. It is occasionally spelled "Acock's Green". It has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.Stockfield was once a separate village located in the north of the ward. It merged with Acocks after housing developments during the 20th century. The ward now covers an area 4.773 square kilometres (2 sq mi), including the Edenbridge Road Estate, Gospel Estate, Pemberley Road Flats, Stockfield Estate, part of the Tyseley Estate and the Yarnfield Estate. The ward covers parts of the B27 and B11 postcode areas.

Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in Acocks Green, Birmingham, England. The school is named after Edward Ilsley, former Archbishop of Birmingham. Construction of the school commenced in 1955 and was completed in 1957. It is named after Archbishop Edward Ilsley, who built the first church in the village of Acocks Green in the early part of the 20th century. The school served many immigrant Catholic families who moved to Birmingham from the west coast of Ireland following World War II. The headteacher is Mr C Clinton. In 2003, the school was named as one of the best schools nationwide in the Chief Inspector's Report to Parliament. It also received Technology College status. In 2004, it was described as being the "Most Improved" school by the Specialist Schools Trust. The school was also the first winner of the Healthy Schools Award.Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Birmingham City Council, in May 2019 Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy Company.

The Swan Shopping Centre is an 80,000 square feet (7,400 m2) shopping centre in Yardley, Birmingham, which opened in Spring 2012.With its landmark high rise building, it stands on the A45 Coventry Road at its intersection with the A4040 Outer Ring Road (also the Birmingham Outer Circle Number 11 bus route), known as Swan Island.

Tyseley is a district in the southern half of the city of Birmingham, England, near the Coventry Road and the districts of Acocks Green, Small Heath and Yardley. It is located near the Grand Union Canal.

Fox Hollies Hall was a manor house situated in Acocks Green, Fox Hollies, Birmingham, England, belonging to the Walker family. The Hall itself was built as a mock-Italianate in 1869 to replace the nearby Hyron Hall, and was commissioned by a retired merchant, Zaccheus Walker III. His father, Zaccheus Walker II, was an industrialist who was almost killed in the French Revolution had it not have been for his friendship with Robespierre. By 1880, Zaccheus' health was deteriorating, and the Hall passed into the ownership of his son, Lieutenant-Colonel Zaccheus Walker IV, who was working as a draftsman at this time. Lt. Col. Walker was the chairperson of many local Boards and Committees, who helped to organise outings for children in the local schools, and after buying land close to the Hall in 1912, sold off a majority of the land between 1925 and 1926, at a total of £44,746; and the sales of land helped the village of Acocks Green to expand into an urbanized community. Lt. Col. Walker died in 1930, and his funeral procession included his coffin draped with a Union Jack. By 1937, the decaying Hall was passed to the Parks Committee, and was demolished. The only surviving part of the hall are the pillars to the main gate, standing near a bus stop. Three tower blocks were built at the rear of the site in 1965, and the site of the hall itself is a public park.

The Burnt mound in Fox Hollies Park is a Bronze Age burnt mound archaeological feature located in Fox Hollies Park, in the Fox Hollies area of south Birmingham. It is a Scheduled Ancient Monument, having been scheduled by English Heritage (now Historic England) on 24 July 2002. It consists of an oval mound about 0.3m tall and about 14m by 9m in length. As of 2019 there are no plaques, explanatory boards or indeed any other features in the park to indicate its existence, and it is currently covered in plant growth.
