Tyseley

Spring Road is a small railway station in the Acocks Green area of Birmingham, England. It is situated on the North Warwickshire Line, between Tyseley and Hall Green stations. The station, and all trains serving it, are operated by West Midlands Railway.

St Mary the Virgin, Acocks Green is a Grade II listed Church of England parish church in Acocks Green, Birmingham, England.

The sculptor John Bridgeman was commissioned in the early 1960s by playground designer Mary Frances Mitchell, to create an abstract sculpture in concrete, for a Birmingham City Council playground, on Curtis Gardens, on a housing estate on Fox Hollies Road in the Acocks Green district of Birmingham, England. It has been described as "fish like".It is the only one of a series of playground sculptures by Bridgeman, who was head of sculpture at Birmingham College of Arts and Crafts until 1981, to survive. It was originally painted in a metallic sheen, but this is now mostly worn off.In February 2015, the untitled piece was grade II listed by the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, on the advice of Historic England, giving it legal protection from removal or alteration.

Hay Hall is a former 15th century hall located at Tyseley, in Birmingham, West Midlands, England. The extensive Hay Hall estate was situated between the Coventry and Warwick roads and included an area now known as Hay Mills, which was the site of a water mill. In the 16th century the timber-framed building was encased in brick. Originally a sub manor of the Este family, the building form comprised a central open hall with cross-wings at either end. There are no traces of the original moat in the area, with the modern surroundings currently developed as factories and works, known as Hay Hall Business Park. It was listed Grade II in 1952.

Acocks Green is an area and ward of southeast Birmingham, England. It is named after the Acock family, who built a large house there in 1370. Acocks Green is one of four wards making up Yardley formal district. It is occasionally spelled "Acock's Green". It has frequently been noted on lists of unusual place names.Stockfield was once a separate village located in the north of the ward. It merged with Acocks after housing developments during the 20th century. The ward now covers an area 4.773 square kilometres (2 sq mi), including the Edenbridge Road Estate, Gospel Estate, Pemberley Road Flats, Stockfield Estate, part of the Tyseley Estate and the Yarnfield Estate. The ward covers parts of the B27 and B11 postcode areas.

Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School is a coeducational Roman Catholic secondary school and sixth form located in Acocks Green, Birmingham, England. The school is named after Edward Ilsley, former Archbishop of Birmingham. Construction of the school commenced in 1955 and was completed in 1957. It is named after Archbishop Edward Ilsley, who built the first church in the village of Acocks Green in the early part of the 20th century. The school served many immigrant Catholic families who moved to Birmingham from the west coast of Ireland following World War II. The headteacher is Mr C Clinton. In 2003, the school was named as one of the best schools nationwide in the Chief Inspector's Report to Parliament. It also received Technology College status. In 2004, it was described as being the "Most Improved" school by the Specialist Schools Trust. The school was also the first winner of the Healthy Schools Award.Previously a voluntary aided school administered by Birmingham City Council, in May 2019 Archbishop Ilsley Catholic School converted to academy status. The school is now sponsored by the St Teresa of Calcutta Multi-Academy Company.

Tyseley Locomotive Works, formerly the Birmingham Railway Museum, is the engineering arm of steam railtour promoter Vintage Trains based in Birmingham, England. It occupies part of the former Great Western Railway's Tyseley depot, built in 1908 to accommodate expanding operations in the West Midlands, particularly the opening of the North Warwickshire Line as a new main line from Birmingham to Bristol. As well as supporting the trust's operating wing Vintage Trains, it is home to an extensive collection of steam engines, from small industrial builds to Great Western Railway 'Castles' and 'Halls', and large ex-mainline diesel engines.

Hall Green Stadium was a greyhound racing stadium located in the Birmingham suburb of Hall Green, which existed from 1927 until 2017. The track itself was a 412-metre long oval track with a sand covered surface. The capacity of the stadium was between 2,500 and 3,000.
