Lake Tahoe–Nevada State Park

North Canyon Creek is a 6.8-mile-long (10.9 km) southwestward-flowing stream originating on Snow Valley Peak in the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada. Most of the stream is in Carson City, Nevada, United States. It is a tributary stream of Lake Tahoe culminating at Glenbrook in Douglas County on Tahoe's Nevada shore.

Snow Valley Peak is a mountain located in the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada. The mountain lies within the city limits of Carson City, NV. At 9,214 feet in elevation it is also the city's highest point. From the peak Mound House, Carson City, Lake Tahoe, Reno and Carson Valley are all clearly visible. The peak is accessible along the Tahoe Rim Trail from the Spooner Lake Trailhead. The mountain is part of the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest although Lake Tahoe-Nevada State Park lies immediately to the west.The sources of three creeks begin on Snow Valley Peak: North Canyon Creek on the western flank, Clear Creek on the southern, and Ash Canyon Creek on the eastern.

The Thunderbird Lodge, also known as the Whittell Estate, is a historic 6.51-acre (2.63 ha) waterfront estate located on the east shore of Lake Tahoe, in western Washoe County, Nevada. It is now within Lake Tahoe – Nevada State Park.

Chimney Beach is a beach on the Nevada side of Lake Tahoe. It is named after the chimney that is on the shoreline. The chimney once served an old cabin, but now stands alone. The parking area for the beach is on the south edge of Lake Tahoe – Nevada State Park on Nevada State Route 28 and is the trailhead for the Chimney Beach Trail. It is 0.5 miles (0.80 km) long to hike from the Secret Harbor Parking Lot down to Chimney Beach on the east shore of Lake Tahoe. Chimney Beach is located near the end of Marlette Creek. The trail connects to a series of mountain trails just south of Marlette Lake.

Whale Beach (formerly also known as Black Sand Beach) is a beach on the eastern shore of Lake Tahoe in Nevada, within the city limits of Carson City. It is known for being a nude beach. It derives its current name from the large rocks near the water's edge.

Spooner Lake is a man-made reservoir located just north of the intersection of Highway 50 and Highway 28 near Spooner Summit, a pass in the Carson Range of the Sierra Nevada leading to Carson City, Nevada from Lake Tahoe. It is located in Lake Tahoe – Nevada State Park.

Spooner Summit is a mountain pass through the Carson Range, linking the Lake Tahoe Area to Carson City via US 50. The highest point of the pass is located just east of Spooner Lake just before the first set of curves when traveling eastbound. The pass also carried the Lincoln Highway over the Carson Range along its Sierra Nevada Southern Route before being renumbered as US 50 and rerouted near Johnson Pass.The Tahoe Rim Trail is accessible from a small parking lot at the summit.

The Ponderosa Ranch was a theme park based on the television western Bonanza, which housed the land, timber and livestock-rich Cartwright family. The amusement park operated in Incline Village, Nevada, near Lake Tahoe, from 1968 until 2004. Portions of the last five seasons of the TV series and three television films were also filmed at that location.

Sierra Nevada University (SNU) was a private university in Incline Village, Nevada, in the Sierras.

Incline Creek is a 5.2-mile (8.4 km) southward-flowing stream originating in the Carson Range, Sierra Nevada in the northeast Lake Tahoe Basin in Washoe County in western Nevada. Incline Creek flows through the Diamond Peak Ski Area on the way to Incline Village where it empties into Lake Tahoe.

Diamond Peak is a ski resort in the western United States, located in Incline Village, Nevada. Near the northeast shore of Lake Tahoe, the resort has 6 chairlifts, 27 runs, and 14 open glades/tree skiing on its 655 acres (2.65 km2) of terrain. Its summit elevation is 8,540 feet (2,603 m) above sea level, yielding a vertical drop of 1,840 feet (561 m), sixth among the ski areas surrounding Lake Tahoe. Its season ranges from December to April, and its longest run is 2.5 miles (4.0 km). Lifts include the "Lakeview Quad" which features a view of Lake Tahoe during the lift's ascent.

Glenbrook is a census-designated place (CDP) on the east shore of Lake Tahoe in Douglas County, Nevada, United States. The population was 215 at the 2010 census. Beach and Bay are for residents and renters living in Glenbrook's gated community. There is no public access to the beach or bay. The community is named after the Glenbrook House hotel and is at an elevation of 6,250 feet (1,900 m). Glenbrook is included in the Gardnerville Ranchos micropolitan statistical area.
