The Memorial for Victims of the German Occupation is a monument created in memory of the German invasion of Hungary, located in Budapest's Liberty Square. The memorial has sparked controversy and angered Jewish community organizations, with critics alleging that the monument absolves the Hungarian state and Hungarians of their collaboration with Nazi Germany and complicity in the Holocaust. Accordingly, many individuals and organizations leave improvised individual tributes to Holocaust victims along the edge of the site.

The Budapest Cog-wheel Railway (Hungarian: budapesti fogaskerekű vasút) is a rack railway in the Buda part of the Hungarian capital city of Budapest. It connects a lower terminus at Városmajor, two tram stops away from the Széll Kálmán tér transport interchange, with an upper terminus at Széchenyihegy. The line is integrated into the city's public transport system as tram line number 60, is 3.7 kilometres (2.3 mi) in length, and was opened in 1874.The railway is operated by BKV, who also operate the city's tram and metro lines. It runs throughout the year between the hours of 0500 and 2300. As a fully integrated part of Budapest's public transport system, standard tickets and passes can be used.The Városmajor terminus is adjacent to the Budapest tram stop of the same name, whilst the Széchenyihegy terminus is a 250-metre (820 ft) walk from the similarly named terminus of the Budapest Children's Railway.

Széll Kálmán tér (Széll Kálmán Square, formerly known as Moszkva tér or Moscow Square between 1951 and 2011) is a square in Budapest. It is one of the city's busiest transport interchanges (comparable to Móricz Zsigmond körtér farther south), which is served by a station on Metro line 2, tram lines 4, 6, 17, 56, 56A, 59, 59A, 59B, 61 and bus lines 5, 16, 16A, 21, 21A, 22, 22A, 39, 91, 102, 116, 128, 129, 139, 140, 140A, 142, 149, 155, 156, 222. Several buses head for the popular hiking destinations of the Buda hills so this square (with the classic, old clock above it) is a common meeting place for those going on excursions. It can be considered the centre of Buda, because of its traffic and the several stores around it, including Mammut, a shopping mall. Buda Castle is easily accessible from here, either on foot or by bus lines 16, 16A or 116.

Széll Kálmán tér (Széll Kálmán Square) is a station on the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It is located under Széll Kálmán Square in Buda. At 38.4m below ground level, it is the deepest station of the Budapest Metro. Near the station, numerous bus and tram routes pass or converge, making it one of the city's major transport interchanges. The station was open on 22 December 1972 as part of the extension of the line from Deák Ferenc tér to Déli pályaudvar.From its opening in 1972 until 2011, the station (and square) was known as Moszkva tér. The exterior of the building is strikingly similar to that of Saint Petersburg's Pionerskaya Station. Renovations of the above located square began in 2015.

Déli pályaudvar (Southern railway station) is the western terminus of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro. It serves the Déli railway station and its vicinity. The station was open on 22 December 1972 as the terminus of the extension of the line from Deák Ferenc tér.

Millenáris, formally Millenáris Park, is a exhibition space, function venue and park in the 2nd district of Budapest. Opened in 2001, the park is a former industrial estate converted into a cultural and leisure centre. It regularly displays exhibitions and shows relating to the cultural values and lifestyle of Budapest and Europe. Its six acres of park and cultural centre have also hosted public interest and business events.The area is reconstructed from the former Ganz Works foundry complex and pieces of machinery used are still on display. The architectural design of Millenáris received the Europa Nostra Award in 2002 for the redevelopment of the area.

Budapest Déli station (Hungarian: Budapest-Déli pályaudvar, lit. 'Budapest southern station'), known to locals and foreigners alike simply as the Déli is one of the three main railway stations in Budapest, Hungary. Located in the 1st District (Várkerület) of Budapest, the station is located in Buda, and primarily serves towns and cities in Transdanubia. The station was first opened in 1861 on the line towards Rijeka (then known as Fiume and part of the Austro-Hungarian Empire) on the Adriatic Sea. Significant damage to the station occurred in the Second World War, and the modern façade of the railway station (the only modern building in all of Budapest's major rail terminals) was eventually completed in 1975. The station is a major transport hub for the city, with BKV Zrt. trams and buses serving adjoining districts. A metro station (opened in 1972) is located underneath the terminal building, being the western terminus of the M2 (East-West) line of the Budapest Metro.

The National Center for Spinal Disorders is located in the 12th District of Budapest, Hungary, on Királyhágó Street. It is the only hospital in Hungary that covers virtually the entire diagnostic and treatment spectrum of spinal disorders from diagnosis and non-surgical and surgical treatments through to rehabilitation. It is financed by the National Health Insurance Fund.

The Church of Mary Magdalene of Buda (Hungarian: Mária Magdolna-templom) is one of the oldest churches of the Várkerület District (Buda Castle District). Dedicated to Jesus' follower, Mary Magdalene, it was built between the 13th and 15th centuries in Gothic style. Today only ruins and the tower of the church remains. For centuries, the Church of Mary Magdalene was the forum of the population of Buda District. Then, the church became the site of the coronation of Francis II, Holy Roman Emperor as Hungarian king, and finally as the central church of the garrison of the Buda Castle.

The National Archives of Hungary (in Hungarian: Magyar Nemzeti Levéltár) were created in 1756. They were first located in Pressburg. In 1784, they were transferred to Buda. The Vienna Gate (Hungarian:Bécsi kapu (IPA ['be:tʃɪ 'kɔpʊ]); in English German: Wiener Tor) is located at the Vienna Gate Square , Buda Castle, in 1st District, Budapest, Hungary. As the name suggests, it was the port connecting the Castle with the highway to Vienna.

Lutheran Church of Budavár is the oldest Lutheran church of Buda. It was built in 1895 at Vienna Gate Square in the 1st District of Budapest. The first church for the Lutherans of Buda was built by Maria Dorothea, third wife of Palatine Joseph, in 1846, at hu:Dísz tér. The site was taken over by the Ministry of Defence, so a new church was built near Vienna Gate.
