We The Curious (previously At-Bristol or "@Bristol") is a science and arts centre and educational charity in Bristol, England. It features over 250 interactive exhibits over two floors, and members of the public and school groups can also engage with the Live Science Team over programming in the kitchen, studio and on live lab. We The Curious is also home of the United Kingdom's first 3D planetarium. The centre describes its aim as being "to create a culture of curiosity".As part of its charitable status, We The Curious has an extensive community engagement programme. In regular weekends throughout the year We The Curious hosts "Hello!" weekends for communities who are currently under-represented in their visitors while also providing a community membership for charities and groups working in and for the community. Alongside this, We The Curious is working with local schools and community groups to plan exhibits and programming for the future.

The Great Bristol Half Marathon is an annual road running event held on the streets of Bristol, UK. The route is at sea level and starts on Anchor Road outside We The Curious. Participants make their way toward Hotwells before heading under the Clifton Suspension Bridge and along the Portway toward Sea Mills before returning the same way then navigating around Cumberland Basin then along Spike Island before crossing Prince Street Bridge, circling Queen Square then heading to Castle Park via St Mary Redcliffe and Temple Circus. The final mile and a half take place in the Old City and Bristol city centre before crossing the finish line back at Anchor Road. The runner's village is located at Millennium Square.

St Augustine the Less was a Church of England parish church in Bristol, England, first attested in 1240, rebuilt in 1480, damaged in 1940 by fire, and demolished in 1962. It took its name from its proximity to the church of the Abbey of St Augustine (St Augustine the Great), which is now Bristol Cathedral. The parish was united with that of St George's Church, Brandon Hill, after the Second World War. After demolition the site remained vacant until the early 1980s, when an archaeological investigation was undertaken before an extension to the Royal Hotel was built over it; over 100 burial vaults were discovered below the former church's floor, together with coins of various periods; the finds were deposited in the Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery.

Sustrans is a United Kingdom-based walking, wheeling and cycling charity, and the custodian of the National Cycle Network. Its flagship project is the National Cycle Network, which has created 12,763 miles (20,540 kilometres) of signed cycle routes throughout the United Kingdom including 5,273 mi (8,486 km) of traffic-free paths. The rest of the network is on previously existing and mostly minor roads, in which motor traffic will be encountered. Sustrans works with schools to encourage active travel (cycling, walking or scooting) among students. It also works with employers and local authorities. It administers several thousand volunteers who contribute their time to the charity in numerous ways, such as cleaning and maintaining the National Cycle Network, enhancing biodiversity along the routes, leading walks and rides and supporting communities to improve their air quality. In Scotland, Sustrans has established partnership teams, embedding officers in local councils as well as NHS Scotland, the Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Natural Heritage and Transport for Edinburgh.

Za Za Bazaar World Banquet & Bar is a buffet restaurant in Bristol, England. The restaurant, in Bristol's Harbourside area, opened just before Christmas in 2011. Its construction lasted thirteen weeks, and cost £3 million. It was billed as the largest restaurant in the United Kingdom, and seats 1,000 people, eclipsing Croydon's Cosmo restaurant in size, which seats 800.It was established with the plan to open another seven "super restaurants" across the United Kingdom, in an investment of £10m, that was rumoured to create 1,000 jobs in eighteen months. However, the expansion did not materialise, and a planned restaurant in Norwich has yet to be built. The food is split into the main categories of Far East, Tex Mex, European and Indian.A second restaurant, situated in Newcastle City Centre, permanently closed in 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Royal Hotel (Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel) was opened on 23 March 1868 as the largest purpose-built hotel in Bristol. It the oldest hotel in the city and has been a Grade II Listed Building since 1978. It operates today as part of Marriott Hotels & Resorts.

Pero's Bridge (grid reference ST585726) is a pedestrian bascule bridge that spans St Augustine's Reach in Bristol Harbour, Bristol, England. It links Queen Square and Millennium Square.

The statue of Queen Victoria by Joseph Edgar Boehm stands on College Green, Bristol, England. It is Grade II listed.The statue was planned as part of the celebrations of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Victoria and was erected on the apex of College Green, displacing a replica of the medieval Bristol High Cross, which was moved to the centre of the Green.The round steps of limestone ashlar lead to a square copper base with fish, putti, and inscribed panels, which support the marble statue. The figure of Queen Victoria is holding a sceptre and orb which are now broken. The statue itself is 8 feet 6 inches high and weighs four tons. It was unveiled on 25 July 1888 by Prince Albert Victor, Duke of Clarence and Avondale, one of Victoria's grandsons.The statue is one of a series of very similar statues Boehm made for the Queen’s Jubilee to stand at Windsor, Balmoral Castle, Sydney, and Pietermaritzburg.When it was put into place, a glass time capsule was incorporated into the plinth. This was uncovered during works in 2004 and given to Bristol City Museum and Art Gallery.The statue has been moved several times.

The Bristol Hippodrome (grid reference ST590729) is a theatre located in The Centre, Bristol, England, United Kingdom with seating on three levels giving a capacity of 1,951. It frequently features shows from London's West End when they tour the UK, as well as regular visits by Welsh National Opera and an annual pantomime.

The former Bristol and West Building on Marsh Street/St Augustine's Parade, Bristol and facing onto The Centre, was built in 1967 by Alec French and partners.Rising 61 metres with 17 stories, the building was formerly used as the headquarters of the Bristol and West until early 2006. It was clad in granite-chipped pre-cast concrete.In the early 2000s plans to demolish and replace with a 23-storey building, the tallest in Bristol, were proposed, but rejected. Since then, major renovations have been carried out, including re-cladding in blue-tinted glass panels of different shades to give the illusion the building merges into the sky. After several delays the building reopened in May 2009 as a 176-room hotel operated by Radisson SAS. In addition to the hotel, the site also includes residential apartments and shops.

The Shakespeare is an historic pub in Prince Street, Bristol, England. Built in 1725 by the Bristol builder John Strahan as a pair of attached Georgian-style houses, it was converted into a pub in 1777 at which time it supplied refreshment to dock workers at the adjoining port. It has been a grade II* listed building since 1959.
