Citrus Park is an unincorporated area and census-designated place (CDP) in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. The population was 5,194 at the time of the 2020 census, an increase of 28.9% over the population of 4,028 in 2010.

Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium is a 215-acre (87 ha) zoo and aquarium in Litchfield Park, Arizona, United States, near Phoenix. The zoo specializes in African and South American animals, and has Arizona's largest collection of exotic animals. It has a 0.6 miles (970 m) "safari train", a boat ride through the Australian habitat, a tram through another segment of the African habitat, and several amusement-oriented rides. Since 2008, it also has an aquarium with a total tank volume of 180,000 US gallons (681,000 L).The latest section, "Adventureland", opened in February 2016. This added 15 acres (6.1 ha), four rides, and a restaurant. Separately a new Mexican restaurant, "Zooberto's", was opened.

Construction on Canyon View High School began in September 2017, following a groundbreaking ceremony in January 2017. Designed by DLR Group, Canyon View features an informal setting, with open and malleable classrooms and a design focused on blurring elements of indoor and outdoor settings together. Canyon View cost a total of $78 million to build, and its campus covers 237,000 sq ft (22,000 m2). Canyon View High School opened in 2018 to a freshman class of 451. As of 2022, the school offers multiple Advanced Placement courses, 23 varsity sports, and various extracurricular activities to its 1,899 students. The school's demographics largely consist of Caucasian and Hispanic and Latino American students.

Luke Air Force Base (IATA: LUF, ICAO: KLUF, FAA LID: LUF) is a United States Air Force base in Maricopa County, Arizona, United States. It is located 7 miles (6.1 nmi; 11 km) west of the central business district of Glendale, and 15 miles (13 nmi; 24 km) west of Phoenix. Luke AFB is a major training base of the Air Education and Training Command (AETC), training pilots in the F-16 Fighting Falcon. On 31 March 2011, the F-35 Lightning II was announced to be replacing the F-16 as the primary training aircraft at Luke, although the date of deployment of the new aircraft to Luke and reorganization plans were not announced. On 16 July 2013, the Air Force announced that Luke AFB will house a total of 144 F-35A Lightning IIs. The first F-35A Lightning II arrived to the base on March 10, 2014.It is a designated superfund site due to a number of soil and groundwater contaminants.

It is the largest library system in the US by population served.The library district serves unincorporated areas in Maricopa County, Arizona. In addition, the district partners with cities/towns and school districts to operate their libraries. The district operates 15 libraries. Each year, the Library District welcomes up to three million visitors and holds thousands of free events and programs for all ages. More than 60 libraries from across the county participate in Maricopa County Reads, the award-winning Summer Reading Program created and hosted by MCLD. In 2020, the Library District held nearly 6,000 events, including 700 online events, and circulated 7.5 million physical and digital checkouts. Arizona State Prison Complex – Perryville is one of 13 prison facilities operated by the Arizona Department of Corrections (ADC). ASPC-Perryville is located in Goodyear, Arizona. ASPC-Perryville's Lumley Unit houses the female death row.In 1981, three units of the Perryville Complex, San Pedro, Santa Cruz, and San Juan (since renamed Lumley Unit), for minimum and medium custody male inmates was opened. In May 1982, Santa Maria Unit, for all custody levels of female inmates, began admitting inmates. ASPC-Perryville was converted to an all female facility in 2000. ASP-Yuma, a 250-bed adult male prison which opened in 1987 became a part of the Perryville Complex in October 1992 until November 1995 when it became its own prison complex Arizona State Prison Complex - Yuma. The Fourth of the housing units at ASPC-Perryville (previously San Juan) is named after Brent W. Lumley, an ADC correctional officer who was killed in the line of duty.ASPC-Perryville has an inmate capacity of approximately 4,382 in 8 housing units and 2 special use units at security levels 2, 3, 4 and 5. The ADC uses a score classification system to assess inmates appropriate custody and security level placement. The scores range from 1 to 5, with 5 being the highest risk or need. ASPC-Perryville is a modern, mixed security prison.

Millennium High School is a public high school in Goodyear, Arizona, United States. Operated by the Agua Fria Union High School District, it is the second high school in the district. Millennium High School was established in 1999 as a separate high school after serving for several years as Agua Fria North High School, in relation to Agua Fria High School, out of a separate campus originally established in the 1980s for freshmen only. As of 2022, Millennium offers 23 varsity sports and various extracurricular activities to its 1,965 students. The school's large Hispanic and Latino population helps make up a majority minority. Millennium is ranked 3,986nd nationally and 67th in Arizona by U.S. News and World Report.

Operated by the Agua Fria Union High School District, the school primarily serves the Verrado area and is the fourth school in the district. Construction on Verrado High School began in 2005. Designed by Orcutt/Winslow Partnership and developed by Adolfson and Peterson Construction, initial plans focused on an open design, particularly with regard to classrooms, and the school was built with technology in mind. The campus was designed as a green building, implementing measures in the design to reduce energy and water usage. Since 2006, various construction projects have been undertaken, including the development of a new field house in 2015. The school is two stories tall and 220,000 sq ft (20,000 m2), costing $40,519,900 to build. Verrado High School opened in 2006, with an inaugural class of 264. As of 2022, the school offers 17 Advanced Placement courses, 23 varsity sports, and various extracurricular activities to its 1,646 students. The school's demographics largely consist of Caucasian and Hispanic and Latino American students. Verrado is ranked 4,149th nationally by U.S. News and World Report, and 72nd in Arizona.
