Tubbergen (Dutch: [tʏˈbɛrɣə(n)] (listen); Tweants: Tubbige) is a municipality and a town in the eastern Netherlands.

Albergen (Tweants: Albeargn) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 7 km east of Almelo.

Dulder is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Dinkelland, and lies about 8 km north of Hengelo. The statistical area includes the hamlets of 't Loo, Noordijk and Zoeke, and therefore the figure is too high. It was first mentioned in the late-10th century as Thuleri. The etymology is unclear. Im 1840, it was home to 932 people.

Reutum is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 10 km northwest of Oldenzaal. Reutum was first attested in the late-10th century as Riatnon, and means "settlement near reed". The village developed along the Reutumse Es. Reutum and neighbour Haarle were home to 670 people in 1840.The church is dedicated to St. Simon and Judas, and was constructed in 1811. The windmill is called "De Vier Winden" (The four winds), and dates from 1862. Another point of interest is the double sluice in the Almelo-Nordhorn canal.

Weerselo is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Dinkelland, and lies about 6 km northwest of Oldenzaal. Weerselo was a separate municipality until 2001 when it became a part of Dinkelland.

Twente (Dutch: Twente [ˈtʋɛntə], Tweants dialect: Tweante) is a region in the eastern Netherlands. It encompasses the most urbanised and easternmost part of the province of Overijssel. Twente is most likely named after the Tuihanti or Tvihanti, a Germanic tribe that settled in the area and was mentioned by the Roman historian Tacitus. The region's borders are defined by the Overijssel region of Salland in the northwest and west (the river Regge roughly defines the western border), the German County of Bentheim in the northeast and east (the river Dinkel roughly defines the eastern border) and the Gelderland region of the Achterhoek in the south. Twente has approximately 620,000 inhabitants, most of whom live in its three largest cities: Almelo, Hengelo and Enschede, the latter being the main city of the region. It comprises fourteen municipalities: Almelo, Borne, Dinkelland, Enschede, Haaksbergen, Hellendoorn, Hengelo, Hof van Twente, Losser, Oldenzaal, Rijssen-Holten, Tubbergen, Twenterand and Wierden. The whole of Hellendoorn and the western parts of both Rijssen-Holten and Twenterand historically belong to the cultural region of Salland, but to the city region of Twente.

Manderveen (Tweants: Maanderven) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 13 km northeast of Almelo. The village was first mentioned in 1846 as Manderveen, which means peat area near Mander.

Mander (Tweants: Maander) is a village in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Tubbergen, and lies about 15 km northeast of Almelo. It was first mentioned in 797 as Manheri. The etymology is unclear. In 1840, it was home 440 people.Among the points of special interest are two watermills, some hidden tumuli, and the land art project 'Mander Circles' by Paul de Kort. The crop circles are old, and have not been made by aliens, but were constructed in the 1920s by Jannink to improve efficiency. The circles had become overgrown, and were restored in 2000. They are best observed from the air.

Geesteren (Tweants: Geestern) is a village in the eastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Tubbergen, Overijssel about 9 km northeast of Almelo. It was first mentioned in 1268 as Geysteren. The etymology is unclear. Around 1800, it developed into a village around the Catholic church. In 1840, Geesteren together with Harbrinkhoek and Langeveen were home to 1,329 people. The Roman Catholic church, St. Pancratius, is named after Pancras of Rome, and dates from 1926.Every year an international concours hippique is organised at Erve Maathuis mainly focussing on show jumping. In 2019 this 'CSI Twente' celebrated its 45th anniversary.A landmark alongside the main road is the windmill 'Grote Geesterse Molen' which dates from 1867.

Gammelke is a hamlet in the Dutch province of Overijssel. It is a part of the municipality of Dinkelland, and lies about 5 km west of Oldenzaal. Gammelke is not a statistical entity, and the postal authorities have placed it under Deurningen. It was first mentioned in 1272 as Gamminclo, and means "the forest of Gammo (person)". In 1840, it was home to 267 people. Nowadays it consists of about 100 houses.Seven burial mounds from the Neolithic or Bronze Age have been discovered near Gammelke.
