Royal Air Force Weston-super-Mare, or more simply RAF Weston-super-Mare, is a former Royal Air Force station which was located on a civilian airfield in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England. It was set up as a municipal civilian airport in the 1930s before being taken over by the RAF in the Second World War for training and technical services. It was also the site of an aircraft production facility. In the postwar period it was used by Westland Helicopters. It is now home to the Helicopter Museum and a housing estate.

Worle Community School - an Academy (often shortened to WCSA) is a coeducational secondary school academy located in Worle, a suburb of Weston-super-Mare in North Somerset, England. There are currently 1,348 students aged 11 to 16 in the school.The school received media attention in early 2016 after a student was stabbed. Shortly after, an Ofsted inspection revealed the school to perform inadequately in every aspect, resulting being placed into special measures. In order to increase the school's performance, on March 1, 2017, Worle Community School became an academy as part of The Priory Learning Trust.

The Helicopter Museum in Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset, England, is a museum featuring a collection of more than 80 helicopters and autogyros from around the world, both civilian and military. It is based at the southeastern corner of the former Weston-super-Mare Airport and is the largest collection of helicopters in the world.

Worle ( WURL) is a large village in North Somerset which is joined to the seaside town of Weston-super-Mare on its western edge. It, however, maintains a very separate identity, and may now be bigger than its more famous neighbour. Worle pre-dates Weston and was mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086. In the book, it is said that Worle was owned by Walter of Douai, and consisted of 750 acres (3.0 km2) and valued at 6.5 hides. "Walter of Douai holds of the King, Worle. Edgar held it in the time of King Edward, and gelded for six hides and a half." The parish church of St Martin's sits on the side of Worlebury Hill and overlooks the village.

Weston-super-Mare Association Football Club is a semi-professional football club based in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England. Nicknamed "The Seagulls", the club is affiliated to the Somerset County Football Association and are competing in the National League South, the sixth tier of English football. The club was founded in 1887 but disbanded twice (for the two World Wars); the current club was established in 1948. Their claim to fame was that they have had never been relegated in their history, although after their promotion to the sixth tier in 2004 they had been reprieved from relegation three times (in 2007, 2008, and 2010), they were eventually relegated for the first time in 132 years in the 2018/19 season. The team's best performance in the FA Cup came in 2003–04 when they reached the second round of the competition. Weston-super-Mare has a modest fan base and a fierce rivalry with fellow Somerset club Clevedon Town. However, the two clubs have not played in the same league or cup (excluding pre season) since Weston-super-Mare gained promotion to the Southern League Premier Division in 2003.

The Hans Price Academy, formerly known as Wyvern Community School, is a coeducational secondary school located on the Bournville estate in Weston-super-Mare, Somerset, England. The school (which previously had specialist Sports College status) had 743 students between the ages of 11 and 16 years as of 2013.In 2009, 31% of the pupils at the school achieved 5 or more GCSE passes at grade C or above including mathematics and English, and a contextual value added (CVA) figure of 1002.1. In 2010, the GCSE score improved to 35%, but was still the lowest in North Somerset, and was below the local authority average of 56.1% and national average of 53.4%. In 2009, plans to turn the school into an academy were revealed. On 1 May 2011, Wyvern School became the Hans Price Academy, named after local Victorian architect Hans Price. The academy is now run by educational charity Cabot Learning Foundation, which plans to spend £14 million transforming the site.
